Will be interesting to see how this all unfolds as I believe we are currently 1 over the scholarship limit unless Hunter Dean walks on. If I had to guess he replaces a departing Javy.
Online!
Hard to find much video of him, I've seen anywhere listed from 6'7 to 6'10

I think there will be 2 possibly 3 departures at end of year so not to worry. Doubt he would have taken commitment if JC wasn't sure of it. With Paar, Brown and now Dean, does that now signal a Toro departure? Can't play 4 posts. Perhaps Toro moves to 4 but the other three are 5 men. That doesn't even include Ace. Interesting times.

Based on the extensive research I did (watching 2 minutes of Hunter’s highlight video, obv not conclusive) the kid is not afraid to shoot the three and has a good stroke - can handle the ball a little bit, too. Fits well with what JC wants to do. I bet he plays the 4 rather than camping out in the post.

From the Southern Mississippi website:
FROM THE COACH'S PRE-SEASON PRESS CONFERENCE
On Hunter Dean's size and skillset
"I think eventually he's gonna be able to do that, he's already able to step out face the basket shoot the 3, do some things that we'd like our 4s and 5s be able to do, but I think also because of his size, he's quite strong as a true freshman he'll be able to give us some good minutes inside, I think eventually, we will head that way with him."
FROM THE PRESS RELEASE ANNOUNCING HIS SIGNING
Dean has been a standout baseball and basketball player at Lakeshore High School, averaging 18.4 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game this season. Previously, he compiled junior marks of 12.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game with sophomore totals of 10.0, 10.7 and 2.5, respectively. This past weekend, he also tossed a one-hitter with nine strikeouts to help his team advance to the state semifinals.
"Hunter is a guy we have been very familiar with coming out of Mandeville," Ladner said. "I feel he was the best big man out of Mississippi and Louisiana. For us to have him and retain him, especially from previous conversations with him when I was at Southeastern Louisiana, is huge."
