Refs did settle down and so has the game.
Guards are handling the pressure really well. Just need to be more composed around the rim.
And keep defending the way we are. A bit unlucky that their three came from a 19% 3pt shooter and a 29% 3pt shooter.

Hunter and Noel just aren't quick enough to guard their bigs. Both with two fouls.
Game is being dominated by bigs for both teams.

Yeah, baby. Getting it inside to Noel for 3 straight layups. Great interior passing!
That’s the key to beat VCU because they just aren’t going to let the guards get free, but if you move the ball, you can get those layups. Great game plan.

Their game plan is obviously to attack the basket and get our bigs in foul trouble. Will probably work…

Oh my God. Replay showed Brown wasn’t moving at all I. That moving screen whistle. He now has 4 fouls (unless the box score is wrong - it’s surprising that Caputo is leaving him in with 4 fouls in the first half)

That's 4 on Brown. As FQ said those early bad calls really cost us.
These refs in general cannot stop blowing the whistle. Lots of awful calls

Need Brown to look for that pass as soon as he catches the ball in that position. If he can get a couple of those on target he'll end up with a few assists.

for all the ticky tack calls on us, they could've given one for samuels at the rim there (though no call was probably right there)
