The OOC awaits, A10 games you have circled on your calendar?
The A10 has struggled in recent years OOC, do they turn it around this year?
Which A10 team do you think has the best chance to crack the top 25 this year?
Prediction for National player of the Year? A10 player of the year race top candidates?
Who cuts down the nets this year?
National Champions UConn #6
A very loaded Kansas team #1
Florida Atlantic number 10 Gonzaga number 11
The Big East looks absolutely loaded 3 of the top 8 teams in the country

La Salle @ Duke on 11/21
Kinda jealous they got a game like that in the OOC, but I guess having a coach like Dunphy helps to open those doors.

For sure. Well, we got to play them in The Dance in 2006, I believe the last time we made it to Round 2 of the NCAA Tourney

There is an exhibition double-header that will air on the Big 10 Network today starting at 3:30 eastern. The first game will be #9 Tennessee at #4 Michigan State followed by #1 Kansas at #25 Illinois, the proceeds from the games will go to a Maui Relief Charity. #3 Purdue played at #14 Arkansas a few days ago in front of a sold out crowd of 19,000 at Bud Walton Arena, Arkansas won 81-75 in OT. I bring this up to ask, when did top teams start playing each other in televised exhibition games? Maybe its gone on for awhile and I never payed attention, but I always assumed college teams have practices and some "secret" scrimmages, and then the regular season starts.

I think it was a post-Covid thing to fundraise for charities.
Which got me thinking: Isn’t this the way to get a GW/Georgetown game? Make it a PSA for DC statehood or tie it into something else local.

Also for a Maui fire charity - at least the Kansas - Illinois game.

Thomas, the P6 v P6 exhibitions for charity, is fairly new. There have always been regular ones, not just the secret scrimmages, which have been one-sided affairs for the most part. The fact that a few are now televised is a very new development.

Loyola Chicago vs Florida Atlantic tonight
First big test for the A10 OOC vs FAU ranked #10 and returns their whole Final Four squad
Loyola Chicago has somehow rocketed up 200 spots in KenPom from a year ago so this should be a good one.

Stonehill is pounding Army early 2nd half. Is Stonehill good? no, but they aren't the worst team either
Saturday's opponent W&M is beating American, also early 2nd half
Rhode Island blowing out Fairfield, Strong start for the A10 in the OOC

Unfortunately Army went into the day with a KenPom of 343 while Stonehill sat at 346. It was a battle between two very bad teams.

Lets call it a minor upset in that case!
Stonehill takes down Army 56-43
William & Mary beat American 75-56 in another very minor upset.
A10 improves to 16-2 in the OOC so far.

A 20 point win over AU is impressive for W&M. It ought to get the attention of our guys that they need to stay focused.
Also glad to see Stonehill get a win. Must have felt good for them to exorcise the nightmares of Garrett Johnson and Max Edwards raining threes at will and Trey Autry and Stretch smothering their offense. .

Agreed and agreed
Until we're about 110 spots higher KenPom ourselves any one of these teams can be dangerous and even when we are it's conceivably true
Also, we don't really know what a team is for a minimum of 3-5 games. William & Mary may be actually pretty good this year, they've played like it so far.

Davidson at Md tonight. I suspect it will be on tv somewhere but I have not looked it up. FWIW...Davidson is +10.5, Would be a nice signature win for the conference. Another opportunity for a signature win would be Dayton +5.5 at Northwestern. Other nice wins would be Duquesne (+5.5) at Northwestern, St. Joes (-6.5) vs. Penn (at St Joes) and Duquesne (+1.5) at Charleston. Very early season indicators of whether there is improvement in the conference). Let us hope.

Davidson playing UMd tough

Duquesne is ahead of the College of Charleston by 14 with a little over 4 to go.

The A10 is rolling. Now if Davidson can just hold on and get this marquee win vs Maryland
Look what Mason is doing to Austin Peay! Austin Peay is a not bad at all 200ish KenPom team.
