I wouldn’t call this season dreary.
At the risk of bringing up old debates, the day they MoJo was given the permanent job (after the interim season in which it was obvious he didn’t have it), most of us knew it would be at least 5 years before we were good again. This is year 3 and we are seeing signs of improvement. It’s definitely more fun than last year.

I only watch sports talk shows by accident and then not for long. Too much other real news or games being televised, but I appreciate everyone's concern.

Battle is now 13th in the nation in 3 pointers per game at 3.29. He is the only freshman in the top 45. He is 35th in the nation (4th freshman) in 3 point percentage at 41.5%.

And, if we were to combine these two things (high volume made and accuracy), there are only 5 players in the country who have made more 3's than Battle while also hitting them at a higher percentage. Comparable to the "magical from 3" freshman season of Nemanja Mikic who made 2.4 per game while shooting 43.6%.

on track to blow by the gw record for 3's made - T.J. Thompson (2001-05) - 229. He currently has 56 this season...x4 years = 224 3pointers made

He's made an incredible 56 threes already, in just 17 games
shooting 42% from 3.

7 points and 7 boards yesterday, a quiet day in which I believe he was 2-3, with a 3 made.
Like that he can have days like that, didn't a force a single shot, none were needed the team was absolute rolling to a huge victory using Armel and Maceo instead.

59 minutes tonight for Jamison, that MUST be a new GW record right?
25 points and 7 rebounds, 9-10 from the FT line.
13 points and 16 boards from Chase Paar, this Freshmen class is truly something special

Congrats to Jamison Battle on his all rookie team selection!
Is Yuta the last GW player to make the All Rookie team?

Congrats to Jamison and his nice family who came to see him play.
Most impressive about Jamison is that he has developed other aspects of his game beyond
shooting.
Glad Jamison is here and look forward to his great future in the coming years leading GW back to the NCAAs.

Congrats Jamison. Well deserved. Looking forward to him in the next few years

Congratulations to Jamison, among the most pleasant surprises of this season. Well deserved.
Shame that Jameer Jr. did not join him on this team, or that Armel did not make 3rd team. With 6 players selected on each team, it's hard to imagine 18 players doing much more for their teams. A few more wins certainly would have helped the cause.

Think Armel hurt his cause down the stretch. JNJ was probably 6th in the voting and just missed unfortunately - more fuel for the fire next year and tomorrow Congrats to Jamison!

I'm all for being a GW homer, I can see why Jameer didn't make the Rookie team though. Very talented player, great future, not sure he merited the Rookie team.
Armel though not being on at least 3rd team and/or MOP Award is robbery. Well, when your record isn't good these things happen. But, strong years for all 3 and well earned recognition for JB indeed.

Jamison set the all time record for 3s in a season, at GW.
As a Freshman. Congrats to Jamison, impressive stuff.

That's pretty awesome. Good for him.
