On today's episode of The Ringer podcast The Press Box, alum Tim Miller makes mention in the first minute or two that he used to converse with fellow alum Clay Travis on GWHoops back when Travis was an upset Al Gore voter (how the times have changed). My wife brought this to my attention, and was shocked to know that this site (and its predecessor) are known by seemingly more than 25 people.

The reach is bigger than 25 peope, surely BGF can attest to that...

Thank you The Ross-Man. The Press Box is one of my favorite podcasts but I hadn't heard the Tim Miller co-hosted episode yet when I read your post. As you say, the gwhoops.com reference came moments into the show. Weird to think that Clay may have been a one-time dem while Tim has seemingly shifted his alliance in the other direction.
Clay went by the name Kleos back in the day. Come on Tim, we know you're out there or at least once were. What name did you go by back then?

Don't listen to podcasts, but may have to look this one up.
The discussion proves one thing that anyone considering GW should consider: whatever you
do or think, you can come to be nationally known by going to George Washington University.

The "previous" GWHoops had several hundred active posters prior to the 2016 dumpster fire. That's not counting a few posters like dude who were posting under 10-20 different monikers.
I remember those days fondly when there was hundreds of posts before and after games along with info from "insiders" regarding injuries, etc.
Now, I doubt we have 25 "active" posters.

almost 34,000 views on the JBIV thread alone, gives you a sense of how many lurkers there are even if the majority of the thread comments are from very few people
34K... think about that. GW has a bigger reach and potential and an under the radar fan base, and that's with the team stuck in mostly rebuild mode
