Season Tickets

GW really needs the support of its fan base, I just put down 4 deposits for season tix

If you can get a plan or a partial plan, highly recommend doing so. Site is live, deposits can be made now to reserve your seats of choice, and prices are VERY reasonable.

in a NIL world we need all the fan support we can if we want the winning team we all want to have, the fans need to step up to the plate, for those who can. If not, consider supporting the program in some other way.

Re: Season Tickets

Have the Athletic Department actually released the Season Ticket prices for the year yet?  I can't find them anywhere.  It seems a little ridiculous to ask people to put down a deposit when I don't know how much tickets are going to be, especially when you are in a situation like me where I plan on upgrading my tickets.

I am also upgrading this year, and I’ve already spoken to the ticket manager, James Meyer. He has indicated to me that the final pricing can’t be set until they know how many home games they’re going to have (which I suppose they’re finalizing still). However, the per game price for season tickets For each ticket type can be found at the attached link.

I hope this answers your concerns.

Re: Season Tickets

Looks like the same "per game" pricing as last year.  There was a noticeable bump maybe two or three seasons ago where prices increased by roughly 20%.

Same here Barry....and if you have questions about Donations, NIL needs, or general Season Tix purchases, Cooper Handelsman is an excellent point of contact.  I've been in close contact with Cooper and he's been oustanding to work with, great guy, super helpful and a great value add for GW in his new role

Re: Season Tickets

if you are a fan of college basketball this pricing beats Howard, Mason, Georgetown, Maryland
plus a conference home schedule featuring preseason #2 thru #8 of the A-10 at home

This should be good for a 10-pack purchase!!!

Could not agree more, very good pricing for a fun time, win or lose, and winning is a LOT more fun it is still a good time with friends/Family/clients/colleagues/fellow alumni etc - we really need to get those ticket sales up, its not enough to complain about GW basketball, if you want the team to win in the NIL era support of your program is essential from the fans best they can

Re: Season Tickets

Thanks for this information.  I totally agree with this being the best deal in town.  My issue is only I have a 2 year old who will now need his own seat, and a wife schedule to give birth in February.  So, we have some cost vs. usage calculus.  Though, I have had season tickets in some form for 20 years, and it would be hard to give that up.

Re: Season Tickets

I will definitely put in a plug for the endzone seats as excellent value.  Other than plays like Collin Goss vs. VCU (which really, you shouldn't want to witness in person), you get a good view of the action.

i share GWU Season tix with a friend and manage to buy extras from members of this board when additional friends want to come

both GMU and Georgetown offer 10/20 packs where you chose the games you want, (with a max of 4 tix per game at Georgetown)

if GWU doesn't currently offer something similar then suggest it

This appears to be your new crusade, and you're literally urging people who are either already season ticket holders, those who come to as many games as they can, or those who live outside the DC area, to buy tickets.  Do you know what the phrase "preaching to the choir" means?

I went with 4 this year closer to the court, used to have 4, then 2, then none too much travel to the West Coast and back and then back to 2 -
I've also sat in those "nose bleeds" many times  and they are NOT at all bad and a great bang for the buck for sure.  You wont impress a client in the End Zone at GW games with the team .500 ROFL!

but still a good time.  Not exactly the 4 Carved out in front of the visitor's away dugout (have had the privilege to sit there many times via a class of GW 2002 friend's Morgan Stanley  corp tix) but can't go wrong being back at The Smith, well maybe a 30+ point drubbing but HARD to go WRONG if you're able to see your alma matter in person

Re: Season Tickets

The Row B Seats in the endzone are the best.  I had tickets in Section 219, Row B for ~12 years until the moved the band right there (without notice...something I am still annoyed about).  We then moved over to Section 211 for a few years.  However, the rows are a little narrow for a 2 year old who needs to move around a little.  Otherwise, I'd keep our same seats.  They are the best deal in town.

Porter, are you buying season tickets in the End Zone? that I've never done but it actually sounds like a cool idea

The Smith is so relatively small that the proverbial "nose bleeds" are DARN good views of the court, I concur and a super bargain of a price ever year
