Hyperbole is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device. It is often used to evoke a response from the reader. When hyperbole is used excessively, it usually shows a writer's insecurity or immaturity.

Rising, did you really need to start a new thread specifically to attack a poster?  That’s not in the spirit of this board. Please stop.
