Looks like Jamison got signed to a two-way contract earlier in the week! He's been shooting the ball great since the summer.

He also posted 12 points and 6 rebounds (although he fouled out in 15 minutes) in a win against the 76ers yesterday. 10 of those points came in the fourth quarter. Battle should continue to earn minutes in Toronto as the Raptors don't figure to be particularly good this year.

Congrats to Jamison!! way to go JB!!!!  always looked like a potential NBA player to me with that super pure 3 ball stroke and enough strength and size in a league where you need both these days

Re: Jamison Battle

9 points and 6 rebounds in 19 minutes in loss to TWolves last night.  Interestingly, he fouled out in about 15 minutes of his previous game, and in this game, he had no fouls.   Defense was never his strong suit at GW...wonder if he picked it up in Minnesota or Ohio State to the extent that it got him into the NBA.  I will claim him as ours for bragging purposes.

Re: Jamison Battle

Jamison Battle averaging 8 points And 4 boards a game first 2 weeks as a rookie in the NBA

He got good run last night in a 127-125 OT loss to Jokic and Denver keeps playing well night after night.

Helluva start to his NBA career way to go JB!  Looking very much the part of a guy who sticks in the league for years to come

Some people see only what they want to see, so they can complain endlessly or whatever agenda is at play.

Others see things as they are..... like when one sees an  obvious NBA potential talent as a Freshman at GW and he becomes one, just another reality that came to fruition.

See, Hurley, Danny for another reality that came to fruition or any of the other dozens of other examples over the last decade+

The revisionist king strikes again.  As a freshman, what everyone clearly saw was that:

a) Jamison could really shoot the ball
b) Jamison's defense was highly suspect.  He had to improve his lateral movement on defense.
c) Jamison needed to complement his great shooting with other offensive moves.  His pump fake/drives to the basket did not begin to emerge until his sophomore season.
d) Jamison would hopefully become a more active rebounder, an aspect which did improve during 2 of his 3 seasons in the Big Ten.

The funny thing is that The Dude probably did take note of Jamison's NBA potential as a freshman, the same way he would have likely posted this about Kethan Savage, Patrick Ngongba, Alex Mitola,  DJ Williams and the approximately 90% of GW players who ever played for the team.

My advice:  go back and reread your post.  Then ask yourself why you need to ask GW0509 when the hostility towards you will end.  Act like a troll, be treated like a troll.  It's not hard.

Jamison Battle's NBA per 36 minutes stats so far:

18 points 9 boards 39% from 3 1.2 Blocks

Pretty dang good well done Jamison!!

Re: Jamison Battle

ESPN Videos has a feature on Jamison Battle entitled "Jamison Battle is automatic from 3 point land"

2000 Point college scorer, 2 years at GW the rest as a star in The Big10 and now an NBA rookie hitting the ground running, that's quite a coup for Mojo's 1st GW recruit (that JC inherited)

https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/42156470

Yuta, Jamison, and all signs point to DBJr as the next GW player heading to the NBA...

Re: Jamison Battle

Jamison Battle is a baller and deserves all his success. We were clearly a stop on the upswing for him. Lucky us.
