Nelson really a remarkable player. What a good recruit for us to land.
Offline
Battle's defensive flaws really being exposed so far.

Arnaldo should be in there. Maybe in combination with Chase or Ace, though largely ineffective so far, or even Mezzie, who can take up some space. They are killing us inside.

Yes, I don't think Harris at the point is the answer. And what about Toro?
Offline
Is Arnoldo still hurt? No reason for him not to be playing if he isn't hurt.
It's also astonishing how much faster their guards are when driving to the basket (with the exception of JNJ)

On defense, we always stay between our man and the basket, Chase.

Down by 10 again with missed 3's. No flow at all to offence.

Toro in. Jack not playing well. Now down 12.

Coach is hot in timeout. Guess he doesn't like dumb play also.
Offline
Shooting well, but again 8 turnovers already (to 3 assists).
Offline
And another stupid turnover after the time out. Sheeeeze

Battle stops bleeding. Now Jack with 3 fouls. Harris in , not good.

Maybe we could have pulled Maceo at the 1 minute mark, since he had 2 fouls. With all these coaches and
guys with clipboards on our bench, could have used our analytics to note that.

39-27 I really hate dumb play when in the middle of the season. Should have learned by now.

Major stories of this half:
10 TOs vs 5
0 Offensive Rbds vs 6
21 shots to 27
Also not helping that Maceo Jack picked up a couple of stupid fouls and Chase Paar is getting completely outmsucled in the paint. Game was only close because JNJ started to get hot.
Offline
Toro needs to be given a shot, maybe in tandem with a big man.
Also, though they may be off, need to give Maceo, whenever he reappears, and Jamison some shot
Can't count on JNJ's mind-boggling drives always falling.

analytics actually says to keep guys on the floor more when they're in foul trouble. Fouling out is rare, and all sitting down one of the best players on your team means is that one of your best players on the team isn't on the court.

This looks a lot like the Richmond game where GW just doesn't have the talent to be competitive, especially with Potter out. It's unfortunate that Potter got hurt because GW showed themselves to be better than the bottom-feeders and possibly in the 7-10 range in terms of where they rank in the A10. I do like the future of the team though with the Fab 4(JNJ, Battle, Paar, and Walker), these guys should be in the upper-tier of the A10 by their JR year

Very soft on defense

Our lack rebounding (or lack there of) is sooooooo bad. Looking forward to having Brown come in next year. Maybe we can work on Chase's footwork in the off-season and move him to the 4.
