Gritty win. If we can figure out how to keep playing the way we have the last two games when Buchanan comes back, we should have ourselves a nice season!

What a win. Really backed up the Dayton game.
CC has us cooking!

Another gutsy win!

Tough arena to win and we didn’t lose our composure . Not as consistent as I’d hope, but make no mistake, this is a significant road win. Add we proved that we can beat a decent opponent without having to go lights out from behind the arc. Great D again.
Wonder how much longer RI fans will put up with their $9.5 million dollar man.

we deserved the W more than they did but I'll admit that whistles went our way more than theirs and Drumgoole took about 4 full steps

Composure when we could have folded against a hostile away crowd.
All while we were missing Jun and Trey M.
Great passing and sharing the ball.
Once again, a real team effort with what seems like at least 8 or 9 players making a difference.
Everyone contributing one way or another.
Not only a win, but the type of basketball every fan wants to see.

Dayton loses by 4 @Umass

Great win after Rhode Island fought back to erase a 15-point lead. Excellent game for our front court with Castro's scoring and Hansen's passing. Also good minutes from Nessah, who gave us an extra possession with his tip out on an offensive rebound. Am loving the depth that's materializing with Bevins and Nessah able to give productive minutes defensively and on the glass. With Castro's 16 points tonight we've now had 8 different leading scorers through 15 games. That's got to be pretty unique. Go Revs!

Looks like Coach can coach afteral!. The last two games have signaled a sea change in his ability to motivate, communicate with, and teach his players. A 15 point lead in first half cut down to 4 in the second, but the boys hung in there just like they did against Dayton.

Hail to the Buff! Hail to the Blue!!!
So, is the problem Jun? Just kidding, or am I? Glad that after what happened at AU and Richmond that this team is now playing cohesive basketball. Still, tonight the rebounding was iffy and the three point shooting was poor (especially in the 1st half), and yet with URI playing like crud and the refs hoping the GW alums working in the IRS cut them some slack things all worked out in the end.
Some odd and ends observations:
I know Dunkin Donuts is a big deal in New England, but is there a square foot in that gym that doen not have a Dunkin Donuts ad plastered on it?
The last time I saw someone take the ball after after a basket, step behind the baseline and then step (with the ball) on to the court was in junior high when my friend Greg did it and almost cost us the game. That was clearly the moment of the game tonight, too.
Hansen was at times fantastic (he had a couple of blocked shots and his sky hook in the 1st was a thing of beauty), at times frustrating (he had a couple shots blocked after URI figured out his move) and at times comical (like when the pass went off his noggin), So is he or isn´t he my player of the game?
Byron Kerr is an unabashed homer, but at least he learns the other team´s players before the game. These gents at URI should and could learn from that.
How much you want to bet the sea food restaurant that advertised during the broadcast has its waiters walk around with oversized pepper grinders and serves water and ice tea from plastic pitchers? Maybe piles packets of oyster crackers in baskets, too.
Both Dayton and URI were out of sorts against GW, but with the best player out GW still gave them deserved hidings. Maybe the angst caused by AU and Richmond was the mirage and the two away wins are the true face of this team?

Played with a lot of maturity

Very very gritty win. Nerve racking (especially as URI came back) but very fun to watch. Glad we didn't get a repeat of the Richmond game because it seemed like it was headed in that direction for a bit. Far from a perfect performance but the fact that they were able to win on the road without two starters while not playing their best makes it all the more rewarding. Loved what I saw from Hansen tonight and as Wisconsin Colonial said, I loved the maturity I saw.
Also, for all the talk amongst other A10 media/fans about GW's weak non conference schedule I didn't hear much about Rhode Island's schedule, which has included exactly zero (0) Q1 or Q2 games up to this point
