What an awesome week! And such great conversation here on the Board. As Abe Rothstein of WRGW pointed out on X, GW MBB had two wins over Top 100 teams for the first time since 2016‼️‼️‼️
So, I wondered whether I wish there was another game this weekend to keep the momentum going or I am glad to have some time for Jun and Trey to get healthy/re-integrate Jun into what is working, etc.
I think I come down on having time off is better even though I selfishly wish there was a game today.
Any thoughts?
And in the meantime I am trying to channel my Geedub love to the women's team who had a rough first quarter against Duquense, but still have a lot of game to go. Go Lady Colonials! Go Lady Revs!

I likewise wish we were playing this weekend but fully agree that the time off, to allow for Jun and Moss to recover from their respective injuries, outweighs my anxiety to see them back on the Court. Also agree that further time is needed to work Bevins and Nessan into the sytem. Wonder how the coaching staff is processing wins over Dayton and URI and if we can anticipate any changes as a result. Coach talks about 7 or 8 man rotations and we seem to be using 10.

I think the time off is probably ultimately for the best but there is a part of me that thinks we could have used the momentum from the last two games to perform well this weekend. But the number one priority should be getting Jun (and Moss) healthy and finding a way to reintegrate him into what has worked so well the past two games.
The women's team on the other hand... woof. Down 28 at halftime to a team with the same conference record as them coming into the game is just brutal. Not sure how much more there is to say about them other than they look dead right now

This weekend, just from a momentum and superstition standpoint.
Didn't the Richmond loss come after a long layoff. So worried about that precedent.
On the other hand, we get to enjoy the rare feeling of solid victories against two teams
at our level.
And of course, the time for Jun and Trey M to recover.
Hope we can overcome the layoff precedent by being at home.

Speaking of Moss, one stat that jumps out at you is his shooting percentages...a very healthy .675 from the two and a very anemic .259 from the 3. He has taken 40 shots from inside the arc and 58 from beyond. Maybe those numbers need to be flipped.

I think the off weekend should be helpful, and I'm hoping to see a healthy Jun come back and play one of his best games vs the Dukes. Hope Trey is ready to go as well. We need his offensive penetration skills and all-around hustle - and not-so-much the 3-point shooting. Only when wide open please. Hope Hansen and Jones continue to play additional, meaningful minutes in a thoughtfully revamped offense. The boys should have just a bit of confidence and swagger after their last 2 games and should use it to dominate the Dukes. Revs by 7.
