I was very impressed with the defensive effort for 40 minutes. I really liked that the coaches used quick substitutions early on and maintained what appeared to be a frequent substitution throughout the game to keep everyone fresh. What a luxury to be able to go 9 deep (10 when Bevins is healthy), without having a significant dropoff defensively and still having a variety of scoring options on the court. I also really liked how the team shared the ball tonight; 21 assists on 33 made baskets was really enjoyable to watch. I thought slim had some really nice passes out of the low post to set up wide open 3s. Do that enough times and it'll make it much harder for teams to collapse their wing defenders when he gets the ball on the low block. The drives to the basket by Aranguren, Christian Jones, and Tre Dinkins were nice to see and created additional pressure on AU's defense and helped GW get to the free throw line. Looking forward to see if the team can follow this up with a strong effort vs ODU.

Tre Dinkins raining down Steph Curry range 3s and how about the return of Garrett Johnson?
Chris has previously said best player on the team, how deep is this GW team??
When is the last time GW won by 40+ points??

Feb 2024 vs UVA Wise (DII). 102-62
Before that, Gemini says 54-8 vs Georgetown in 1924, but I'm not at all sure about that.

Happy for this team that has worked hard and come together. They're for real!
But what concerns me is that no one gets up from the podium without grunting lol. Sounds like me getting up from the couch lol

Nice article in today's electronic version of the Washington Post...on Ge**getown's win over Binghampton, bringing them to 3-0. Not a word on GW vs. American.

Their loss. Come Dec. 13th we're going to be undeniable, and they'll wish they hopped on the bandwagon earlier.

Not sure where these stats come from, but the first day of the season I’m 2014-2025 (Yuta’s first game), we beat Grambling 92-40.

Interesting comment about how in the old days, you used to put the walk-ons in with 4 minutes to play up 30, but you can’t do that now because there’s so much emphasis on “the metrics” (meaning thinks like the Net and KenPom treat every possession equally so for the rankings it matters now whether you win by 40 vs 20. When RPI was king, it only mattered if you won, not by how much).
Also, GW put out a post-game insta video of the players walking back to the locker room one by one that had Tricky in a boot; but not limping.
