If we defeat Florida, the Post's headline would read:

It sure was Dude. Here's the list:
Division 2 teams: Bowie State, Wise
Teams playing their first-ever D1 games: Stonehill, Mercyhurst
The Military: Army, Navy, VMI
Other Maryland Powerhouses: UMES, UMBC, Coppin State (Twice)
Other Virginia Powerhouses: William & Mary, Old Dominion, Hampton
Other Alphabet Schools: NJIT, NC A&T
Avenging the OOC team who last beat us at Smith Center: AU
American East anyone: Maine, New Hampshire
Some others: Alcorn State, Lafayette
And the best team of the 22: Hofstra

This is true, but how many such teams did we lose to under MoJo and JC? The first step in becoming a good team is to consistently beat the teams you should beat, imho.

Of course I realize this DC Native. And The Dude's statement is factual. But to point this out would lead most to believe that this is a far greater accomplishment than it really is, which is of course exactly what he's doing.
Just like the Castro thread where he's comparing his per 40 minute averages last year, when he played 34 games including a full A10 schedule, with this year when he's played just 5 games. It's factually correct but statistically insignificant. Which I'm sure he knows.

He knows.
Agree with both DC for the facts, amd Mayhem for the context. Feeling a lot better about this year amd not just squeaking by inferior teams, only thing I really worry about is the huge amount of open looks these inferior teams have had and just plain missed.

Please refrain from calling posters names.
No problem with the discussion about the context of the home win streak stat.

To change the subject back to the thread topic, I noticed that we are currently ranked 47th on Bart Torvik… BUT if you filter out pre-season expectations (which is still a favor for another month or so), we are ranked 31st based on all team’s results just this season. Kansas is 30th. WOW.

GW 31st and Kansas 30th says it all, what a turnaround.
The quality of our rotation is really something to behold
