Under 10 turnovers. Nice wake up call from last night.

We were unable to provide live updates because the internet was out at the field house. We left at halftime of 2nd game, in which a much quicker and more talented McNeese was blowing out a very meh looking Murray State , who we are bigger and quicker than.

Well played.
Feels like kind of a meh game from us, but with few turnovers and good shooting (garrett aside), it’s enough for the 15 point lead.
I thought we played quite well, leading wire to wire in a game in which we were never really threatened. MTSU pulled to within one point in the first half, but we always maintained a 1-2 possession lead until we blew them out in the second half in a game in which the game wasn't nearly as close as the score would indicate. For the game, we shot 57% from the field, 50% from the 3 and had 19 assists to 9 turnovers. We had 92 points on only 54 field goal attempts and after a spotty first half defensively, we picked things up in the second half. Lots of solid individual games if no standout performances. Incredibly, Castro (with 21 points on the night had zero first half rebounds and only 3 for the game. Good to get very solid games from Marshall and Benjamin.

It was more solid than flashy. The TOs were great, but only 4 offensive boards is odd. Chris Jones was great. Castro scored a lot but as you say, only 3 boards, which is a bit odd. We missed a whole bunch of layups and Garrett got foul trouble and never found his rhythm, but everyone else shot it well. 19 assists is excellent.
I found it more of a solid performance than an eye opener. Maybe it was just the power outages and the score closing at the end that made it feel like we played in second gear the whole game (while still easily handling a decent team).

Line of the night DC Native.
FloSports is so bad that even when it's technically not their fault, it's still somehow they're fault. When Jess Settles says something nice about GW, I can't help but think he's trying to alleviate some guilt for the physical harm he personally caused us as an Iowa Hawkeye.
Very solid performance against a team that would have had to get very hot from 3 to have a chance against GW. What stood out was:
a) Thought the guards aggressively took the ball to the hole, particularly to open up the game. At times we had layups (or missed a few though that came mostly from our bigs) and when that was taken away, we kicked the ball out for wide open 3's. Exactly how we should be playing.
b) Much was said throughout the broadcast (except during the technical difficulty stretches) on Garrett having an off night. This is the beauty of having this level of scoring depth. Garrett may very well end the season being the team's leading scorer but the point is that he does not have to be. Pay too much attention to him on defense and GW should be able to make many other teams pay when other players step up on offense.
c) In light of CC's recent comments pertaining to playing the walk-ons, citing margin of victory as one of the important metrics), it was strange to see GW's defense truly let up over the game's final few minutes, turning a 20+ point victory into a 13 point win. Sure, sometimes the other team has everything to do with this and MTSU continued to play hard. Not really disappointed by this as much as I was a bit surprised to see it.
One more to go. Hopefully, the legs hold up.

Upside to Garret having an off night is that he only played 15 minutes and will have fresher legs today

Yes, but I think this is a concern for the staff (minutes) as this is Garrett's first time having to play on consecutive nights since returning. During the rest of the season at least until the A-10 tournament, this will not be an issue. I would think if the game gets out of hand tonight, you will not see as much of Garrett as you normally would. We will see.

Garrett was on the stationary bike when he wasn’t in the game.
