UCONN Beat Marquette 73-57. A tale of 2 program directions, UCONN, back to back Champions and look a strong candidate for a 3rd Title in 4 years.
Shaka Smart's Marquette squad is 5-10 with a NET of 176. Danny Hurley's team is 14-1 and heading for a 1 seed
Richmond won at Fordham.
Middle Tenn won again so did Delaware.

The $10 million man’s days at URI appear to be numbered as the Rams drop their 3rd straight conference game at home to LaSalle. Fans have had enough and some now calling for Archie’s immediate firing, which would seem to be improbable given the high buyout number for the remaining year and a half on his contract, combined with the fact that they currently have no AD since their longtime AD Thorr Bjorn jumped off the sinking ship to go to UMass. URI joins the Hawks as a second A10 program in free fall.

Vanderbilt, 15-0 beat Alabama, one of the stories of the year, the rise of Vandy.
Marquette won by 1 at home vs the #123 team snapping an 0-10 start against Quads 1-3
OT comeback win for UCONN another Quad 1 win on their ledger.
Saint Louis won at VCU, cementing their status as the clear best team in the A10 this year.

Joe Lunardi now has two A10 Teams in his field, Saint Louis and VCU
Also Via Joe :
"Head coach Mark Few has never missed an NCAA tournament in 26 seasons in Spokane -- a remarkable run of excellence highlighted by nine straight Sweet 16 (or better) teams from 2015 through 2024, including a pair of title game appearances. Now, after missing the second weekend last season, the Zags are again doing Zags things.
Take away their loss to Michigan at the Players Era Festival, and they've been as good as any team in the country: a perfect 16-0 in their other games, with three Quad 1 and four Quad 2 wins.
They're also 4-0 to start their final go-around in the West Coast Conference. These Zags are good enough to run the table, meaning a 32-1 record on Selection Sunday and the program's sixth No. 1 seed aren't out of the question.

Given that the last six topics have been started by the Dude I think we should change the name from GW Board host to the "Daily Dude."

I caught the second half of the Cleveland State versus Wright State game last night on ESPN+ and was very impressed with Dayan Nessah. He had a super efficient night and got to the line frequently and also had a pair of blocks and steals to help secure the win. He finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and went 13 of 15 from the freezer line. He's very skilled for his size and does a lot of things very well.

lest we thought GW was the only team to suffer bad losses in conference, Dayton fell to La Salle last night.

Hey, Dude: I appreciate your enthusiasm for college hoops and GW but your volume of comments and starting new topics is over the top. This is designed to be forum for many fans not one dominated by an individual.

Wisconsin lost at home to #59 USC a Quad 2 loss. Badgers looking like a bubble team with a NET in the 40s and a 1-5 Quad 1 record.
Have to figure the seat is getting a little warm for Greg Gard who has not been out of 2nd round of the tourney since 2016/17, program has fallen a lot from the Bo Ryan Final 4s and National Title game days

Except of course that Wisconsin does have a signature win at Michigan, the Wolverine's sole loss of the season. The same Michigan team that blew out Gonzaga by 40 points.
By the way, how did Creighton do last night? Thought I might see their game mentioned here, LOL.

Here in WI, most of the angst is about football. Two bad seasons in a row but the buyout for Fickell is $25M. Gard has built up a lot of goodwill so he gets a lot of rope. However, another so-so season and he’ll be on thin ice next year (pun intended - will be 6 below here tomorrow morning).
On second thought, if we lose to MN tonight, as we are currently doing, Gard will be under fire.

He’s impervious to the obvious disdain, unfortunately.

Minnesota lead Wisconsin on the road, all game until the Badgers escape in the last few seconds with a Quad 3 win. Looking like Greg Gard's final season in Wisconsin.
Mason beats Davidson to improve to 19-2. Mason and Saint Louis a heckuva 1-2 punch atop the A10.
Florida, the defending national champs won on the road 95-48, part of a series of games which helped lift the GW KenPom tonight
