Prety unusual when the only participant to get their top pick wrong ends up winning the game, but I'll take it. Not a banner weekend with plenty of surprises. If we can't count on programs like Fordham and La Salle losing the games we expect them to lose, then this really will become a crapshoot.
Anyway, I did go 4-2 putting up 12 points to win my first game this season. Blue Foggy could not have been any closer with 11 points and the author of creative nicknames, 22nd&F, hit double figures as well with 10. GW0509 is still comfortably out in front with 3 wins, while I join five others with a single win apiece.
We have two games this Tuesday followed by 5 more on Wednesday. These will comprise our game #5. Here's my lineup:
SAINT LOUIS over Fordham 7
GWU over Davidson 6
Vcu over RHODE ISLAND 5
RICHMOND over La Salle 4
Geo. Mason over LOYOLA 3
St. Bonaventure over JOE'S 2
DUQUESNE over Dayton 1
Get your picks in before Tuesday night at 7:00. Miss that deadline and you'll still have until Wednesday at 7 but you'll forfeit your 2- and 1-point games,, and obviously will be unable to select the Tuesday games. Good luck.

A reminder that the deadline for this week's games is 7:00 this evening (Tuesday). If you miss this deadline but would still like to play this week, you can do so by picking solely the Wednesday games giving them confidence levels of 7 down to 3 (you'll be forfeiting your 2 and 1 point picks under this circumstance).

We need a ruling. It appears that 22and F only selected six games by mistake. He did not pick SLU over Fordham as his 7 point pick which makes sense after considering that the rest of us made this our 7 point pick.
Do we assume that this is what he meant and just include this as his 7 point game? Or, does he forfeit his 7 point game due to his mistake? Or, do we say only if he reads this and makes the correction before 7:00 pm this evening do we allow this?
By the way, our next game will have a Friday-Monday window so get ready to pick quickly on those after tonight.

Dangit I missed the Tuesday games. Clearly I need to get my priorities in order.

Game #5 is in the books and whether we gave 22ndandF his or her 7 points or not for the SLU win, the fact is that this effort still came up short. Both PKGW and GW0509 went 6-1 for the game but PKGW assigned 3 points to the GW loss whereas GW0509 put 5 points on this game. Therefore, PKGW wins with 25 points, his or her second victory of the season.
Game 6 has an interesting timeline with one game starting tomorrow night and extending through MLK Day on Monday. Then, Game 7 will start the following night with 2 games so get ready for a quick turnaround.
Game 6 has 1 game on Friday night (Loyola at Dayton), 3 games on Saturday, 0 on Sunday, and 2 more on Monday. So if you miss the Friday at 8:30 deadline, pick the other games by Saturday at 12:30.
Game 6 picks
SAINT LOUIS over Richmond 6 points
VCU over St. Joe's 5 points
DAYTON over Loyola 4 points
Gwu over GEO MASON 3 points
Duquesne over FORDHAM 2 points
St. Bonaventure over LA SALLE 1 point

Maybe the holiday and staggered schedule led to fewer participants than normal. Nevertheless, PKGW goes a perfect 6-0 taking Game 6 by a point over the guy he's been chasing, GW0509. Win number 3 for PKGW which ties GW0509 for the overall lead. Shame on me for actually thinking that GW could win in Fairfax.
Game 7 comes upon quickly with two games tonight followed by three more tomorrow. Try to get your picks in tonight before 7:00pm; otherwise, you'll be forfeiting your 1 and 2 point picks. Looks like a potentially tricky Game 7, but in the words of Tony Romo, "here we go Jim":
ST. BONAVENTURE over Loyola 5 points
DAVIDSON over Fordham 4 points
Dayton over LA SALLE 3 points
RICHMOND over Uri 2 points
Slu over DUQUESNE 1 point
Good luck!

Three more A10 games tonight and there's still time to pick these (if you haven't already) and still potentially win Game 7. Get those picks in before 6:30 this evening (Wednesday).
