Wow. Remarkable.
No need to worry about winning.

Rafael Castro remains the all time leader in the history of the A10 in Win Shares/48

Win shares/48? Aren't college games 40 minutes?
Why not just look at win shares which is more meaningful? This is a stat that's been around since 1995-96. Slim has 3.6 WS so far this season, first in the A10. Max Shulga led the conference last year at 7.0. DaRon Homes was the conference leader for three consecutive seasons prior to this. The highest for a season was David West in 2002-03 with 9.70. Only Alexander Koul has been a season-long leader as a Colonial with 6.69 in 1996-97.
For a career, West is the conference's alltime leader with 31.68. Koul is GW's leader with 17.66.
Alltime leader in the history of the A10 in Win Shares/48 sounds like the equivalent of career leader for opposite field home runs off of sliders.

Incredible performance from Castro
Tremendous defense almost carried GW to a massive road upset

Well….except for his defense leaving Avila open on the game winning 3.
Here is a good breakdown of his issues covering bigs who can shoot

Rafael Castro is #3 in the Nation in Player Efficiency Rating. Cam Boozer is #1, Castro #3 in the country.
Slim was #3 in the Nation in shooting last year, #3 in the Nation in Player Efficiency this year:
Leads the A10 in a half dozen stats as well

Not only #3 in the nation but #3 in the country as well? Now that's impressive.

If there was any doubt how massively important and what a great player Castro is, watching GW play a game without him ...

Good question. Friday Night?
Castro checking in on at #80 on this Draft Board. 20 years since a GW player went in the draft, Castro could break the streak.

Doubt you will see him tonight but you just never know.
