We’re so lost without Castro. No one looks confident on offense.
SO TRUE, plus they have no inside D

Could be MUCH worse than a 5-point deficit at halftime. If the treys start falling and the team is not as sloppy with the ball, this could work out fine. But I cannot see St Joes being as loose with the ball and so slow to shoot in the 2nd.

Got that right! Sure seems the strategy is 55% from 3 or die

it's as if the two teams are playing totally different sports. The Hawks take it to the hoop, have sharp quick passes and even a fast break or two. We, on the other hand, just chuck up threes that miss, then miss the rebound. Sad to watch.
Seems a bit harsh. The hawks have plenty of turnovers and we are out rounding them.
The problem is our entire team and our system is built around the league’s best player and he’s out. Their best player is Glover-Toscano, who has 11 points with three treys. Their offense slowed down when he was out.
Without Castro, and against a team that is excellent at shot blocking and contesting at the rim, I don’t mind us shooting a lot of threes. We’re 6-24. If we’re just 8-24 (33%, below our average), we’re up 1.
I hope they keep hunting open threes. And if we make a couple, maybe it opens up some driving lanes.
We’ve looked lost without Castro, but we’re still in this game and St Joe does see beatable.

24 of 31 FGs were from 3. Will we take 60 3s? NCAA D1 record is 74.

Agree we're fortunate to be within 5.

Think that’s three fouls on Glover/Toscano, not that these horrible announcers noticed.

nice way to start second half - looking inside

I guess they called it on Haskins. Not that these announcers bothered to tell viewers.

need to show team PFs on TV scoreboard

Assuming we don't fold and let them extend this run, game is going to be decided from
the 3, which we are attached to.
Iffy for us. But need Trey, Tre or Garrett to come through or any combo.

Note: did not mention that we need Hunger from the 3. He can get rebounds, score inside
and alter shots if he wants to be the good Luke.
Anything possible, but so far, odds not good for Hunger from the 3 point line

I see Luke has taken 12 shots already. Is he now our offence?

I'm OK with 12 without Castro but not 5 from 3, even if he's wide open as he has been tonight.

How did they not call the foul on the Aranguren drive or the moving screen before the Bubu foul just now? Calls going against us.

It was a foul on a guy shooting a three. But they missed the foul on the other end.

Bubu?

Tried to get Jones in but couldn't. More confusion on the sideline.

God this team just can’t close.
