Great half with occasional lapses. Autry great and represents GW very well.
But once again, not at all confident.
We've seen this movie before--against this very team this season.
Those improbable 3s aren't going to always fall. And Billiken's aren't always going to miss theirs.
Avila may not always be a lesser factor. We need to milk the lead by playing smart and having aggressive defense.
And while Castro has been great defensively, we haven't gotten the ball into him. Need to
find a way to have him score more--and not be on the line with the game on the line. Though he seems OK
at the FT line. Also need to feed Hunger inside when he's in. He usually hits FTs, though not guaranteed.
He gets one more 3 attempt, seems due. But better get it to him inside to score or get fouled.
Won't relax until we are up by 15 with a minute left. They've got a smart coach, good players. And despite a recent tailspin, have only lost 4 games. And are motivated with the end of their conference season on the line.
We've seen this movie before.
Time for a better ending after intermission.

Gotta be happy but need to shoot FTs better
FT - GW 65% versus SLU 100%
Turnovers - GW 9 versus SLU 5
Unless there is minor diety at work for GW the door is wide open for St. Louis
Where do you see 9? I see Gw 3 turnovers, SLU 8 in the box score
Edit : I saw Gw has 9 points off turnovers vs SLU 5

Autry and GW got screwed twice when Green clearly should’ve been called for an offensive foul followed by a clean block being called a foul on that same play. We need to sell a foul once in a while!

Here we go fouls and turnovers. Same old crap.

Guess which team came out for the 2nd half adjusted and ready to play? (Hint, it is not GW)

Is this team dumb or what?

Refs providing several assists to our self-destruction.
Regain composure and right the ship.

Sadly, not surprised at early second half melt down.

Caputo calling a TO when the lead was still 7 is a pleasant surprise

Hunger and Slim each with 3 fouls. Think SLU will go down low to Avila early and often?

The team that can't hit layups again. St. Louis can. Very consistent team.

Wait, GW has blown a 20+-point lead and now a game they fully controlled is a one-score affair? Has that ever happened before? WHAT? Almost every game, you say?

Showing a lot of heart now with Castro in foul trouble

Getting DInkins off of Green has also helped.

Remember when we were up by 21? That was fun.

Maybe pay some attention to Avila?

And that is how (another) 20+-point lead turns in to a deficit. Great... NOT!

This game feels like a perfect encapsulation of the season

The NCAA should really shorten games to 20 mins. GW would have a better record with that rule change.
