Re: The March Madness Thread

Heard on radio show that Howard received $2.1 million for making it to NCAA tourney, and another $2.1 million for winning their first game.  How sweet it is for their program.

likely to be shared with other members of the conference
I'd expect them to get 2/9ths of that - after expenses are deducted
then 1/9th to each of the other 7 MEAC schools

Re: The March Madness Thread

In the A10, I believe the bulk of the "making it" NCAA unit goes to the tournament school (like 50-75%) and then the other part is split between the other A10 schools.  If a team wins, I think they get more of the "win" unit and share less with the others.

Re: The March Madness Thread

If VCU was making layups, this game would be even. Must be an A10 thing.

Re: The March Madness Thread

VCU board were really down how maybe the A10 was too weak for competition. Gotta check their site now.

We should brand this. Maybe it’s a “Full Rev?”

Tremendous 2 days for the A10

A perfect three for three in three road games in the NIT tournament, and a perfect two for two today in the NCAA tournament

Capped a massive blowout of an SEC team

Fantastic 5 games for the A10 the last 2 days

Really impressive win by St Louis, and the VCU comeback was amazing. Great day for the Atlantic 10!

It certainly was!

Gonzaga wins

Gonzaga extending a two decade long streak with a victory in every NCAA tournament going back to 2008, the George Bush administration days

Re: The March Madness Thread

The NCAA hates mid majors and the A10 and goes out of its way to screw them at every opportunity. Big Ten honks spent all week talking about how 30+ and 1 Miami University didn't deserve to be in the tournament, despite only losing once, because of their absymal OOC scheduling, which of course they really can't do much about.

In response, Miami thumps an overrated power conference team and the A-10 squads selected basically romp over a blue blood and another overrated power conference squad. Well maybe VCU didn't romp but they certainly stuck it to UNC in the second half and in overtime.

The NCAA hates the mid majors and the A-10 yet the A-10 went 2-0 in convincing fashion, Miami won its play in and High Point embarrassed Wisky.

Fuck the NCAA

Re: The March Madness Thread

On that note, thank God and G0d we're getting rid of Bernadette McGlade. She spent the last 10 years doing nothing as the NCAA rigged the system against the A-10 and dwindling our yearly bids from an average of four to two or one.

She should have been in the press blasting the NCAA and the corrupt Selection Committee executives at every chance for screwing the A-10 and other mid majors. Instead she sat on her hands and did nothing and all the while you all here made excuses for her. Disgusting.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass, Bernadette.
