Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

Wow, tremendous addition from the ACC

NC State transfer

Was a consensus Top 50 In Nation Recruit

High end talent incoming to GW

Very long, athletic wing

The ACC transfer was previously an all AAC Freshman at Houston

Played 20 minutes a game in 40 Games on Houston National Runner Title Team in 2024-25

Outstanding defender, has improved his shooting.

Had an injury in 2024 so does he have 2 years of eligibility left?

Haven’t fully watched but great film breakdown. Can’t wait to cheer him on in the Smith Center!

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

Imagine will be the starter at the "3" and the Bubu replacement/upgrade on the roster?

Exceptional athlete

If he had transferred to Kentucky or Kansas it would not be a surprise

Have we ever landed a transfer who was playing 20 minutes a game from one of the top teams in the  Nation?

We've had great success with guys playing far less time at power 5 programs, does anyone recall ever getting a guy who played this much for a National Title contender ?

Seems like a major breakthrough in terms of who is feasible to land at GW

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

This should place us in the top 5 in preseason polls.
And if we just land 2 more players, GW is an absolute shoo-in for the national championship!

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

Highly regarded out of HS and 20 minutes/game at UH impressive, but NC St stats not so impressive (4 and 3, 41% from floor). Defensive specialist? Hope he's healthy and pans out like other Power 5 guys we've gotten.

The nice thing is that with players only staying for year nowadays, we don’t have to care how much eligibility they have beyond one year! 🤣

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

An NBA scouting report on Terrance:

Possible 2nd Round Pick

Arceneaux is a really intriguing longer term wing prospect who has the size, length and athleticism for the NBA game. He’s a standout multi-position defender who can impact the game without needing the ball in his hands.

He’s really good in transition and as a slasher/cutter to the basket.

Shows promise as a floor-spacer but still has work to do. Isn’t the most creative with the ball in his hands and is best playing off the ball.

This sounds like a tremendous recruit one who would solve our interior defense problems immediately if healthy.

He’s a wing defender, not an interior defender.

That said, he may be able to keep people out of the paint much better than our guards in recent years (save for Jones two years ago, no idea why his defense was weaker this year). That should take some pressure off the rim protection and the rotations.

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

Here we go again - except much earlier this year - our saviour is here, we beat out Duke, Kansas and Kentucky for him, will be a top 5 A-10 team this coming season, yatta yatta yatta.
There's a reason we have to take the court and play the game. Same few spouting this nonsense said this past year we were best on paper since the debacle of 2016. Lets hope CC figures out how to coach and can turn all this great talent we have and will get into wins on the court against good teams!

I’m not sure whether to call you Captain Strawman (since no one claimed he’s our savior) or Debbir Doener (since I believe your post is basically just ripping people for being happy about a recruit).

How about welcoming the recruits to the Rev family and being nice to fellow fans who are happy when we land a player?

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

When one tries to imagine everything that goes into assembling a roster these days, it has to be head exploding 🤯!!  Can only imagine the war room with mountains of names, analytics, $$ considerations, bios, film, etc.  The process is similar to a real estate closing except that there are 6 or 7 going on simultaneously that have to mesh with each other. And it’s not over til it’s over.

Here’s to welcoming Terrance and wishing Coach Caputo the best of luck in pressing all the right buttons at this crazy time🍀

Thanks for adding a dose of reality.  As bad is the dudes posts are.. and they are bad, Joel’s are just the same on th other end of the spectrum.  Dude will never admit that ML was a good coach and Joel will always think ML was the 2nd coming of John Wooden.  Predictable as soon as I see their names on the post.

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

Rothstein] Sources: Terrance Arceneaux will not enter the NBA Draft and instead return to Houston for his sophomore season. Potential 2024 lottery pick."

Came across this, didn't happen clearly but he was seen by one of the best reporters as a lottery pick potential... instead he had that injury, but then a huge contributor to Houston's National Champion Game squad in 2025.

Rare air for GW to land a player with this type of ceiling, athletically, length, shooting touch he really does have protoypical NBA wing potential

He's a level of athlete I don't recall us having nor can think of any other GW player who would garner "lottery pick potential" at a time in their college career.

Exciting addition

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

This looks like a wonderful transfer class. Let's hope that Caputo does a better job with this talent than he did with last season's roster. Again, too many close losses by the guys--often with a big lead even in the second half. If that's OK with you guys, so be it. My hope is that the entire (gigantic) coaching staff gets some remedial help in learning how to close games out. Look at the stats and tell me I'm wrong!

Re: Welcome Terrance Arceneaux !!

Think our transfer class is the top rated non-Power-5 class.
