Wow, a bonanza of high level transfers
Omari started almost every game as a Freshman for Pitt
Local product, good athlete and D and Guard size at 6'4
Finished the year playing almost every minute of the game in the ACC
3 point shooting an area needs improvement
Former top 100 Recruit and impact ACC starter as a Freshman
Welcome Omari!

What is most impressive these three new transfers
Power 5 starters or playing heavy rotation quasi starter minutes with Big Time prospect pedigree out of high school guys
As great as Castro was and as solid Hunger became, they played relatively light minutes for Power 5s. Bishop too
Great success there, particularly Castro and Bishop, here though not just getting guys looking for more playing time from bigger programs getting guys who actually were playing a lot at big programs
Very impressed, due respect to the players transferred out, the players transferring in are a lot more talented

The big market is kind of crazy right now. Georgetown's C from NZ originally announced he was coming back to school and the other day was enticed to enter the portal with offers of ~ $4 million.
I think we're probably going to let it cool down a bit unless we find someone like Hunger (or even Hunger himself) who can be had for a reasonable offer. Hopefully we don't wait too long and end up with Stretch Akingbola 2.0.

The best players can now retire after college--if they even finish. What a world!

Sounds good! I'd love to see that but I think many of the power & mid-major conference coaches are already doing that these days. When GW's Mike Jarvis developed his connections in Belarus and elsewhere it wasn't that popular and the growth of the sport internationally at that point was in its infancy when compared to today.
