GW is picked to finish 5th in the conference.  (GW Women are picked for 3rd.)  Jean earns a Third Team nod.  Really surprised not to see others selected, including Terance on the All Defensive team.  I do think it's hard when there are this many newcomers.  As Andy Katz pointed out, it's a testament to be picked 5th with essentially a brand new team.  I guess it's a lot to ask voters to know much about so many players who have arrived from outside the conference.

Jean was supposed to accompany CC but it was Dylan who was the player representative.  Hoping the head injury to Jean isn't major.

CC made these statements (of which I am paraphrasing):

1) On 6 international players from 6 different countries:   t least my Serb and my Slovakian speak the same language.  (Good line.)  Emphasized international players being an important part of program history, mentioning Yinka, Mescherikov and Yuta by name.

2) These guys don't need to be told to play hard.  They just do it.

3) The OOC is very important if we want to be part of any at large consideration conversation come January.

4) The conference is again capable of not only sending multiple teams to the dance but having those teams playing on the second weekend.

5) Told the story of how Dylan James was being recruited to Miami at age 16.  His parents were huge Hurricane football fans.   He discussed the importance of not burning any bridges and staying in touch with guys who you recruited because these days in this sport, one never knows.

6) Dylan was impressed with how CC played through Slim and thinks he's a great fit to play CC's style.
