Lockdown and recruiting
Understanding that this is a trivial issue in the big picture, IMO the current situation is net positive for our recruiting prospects this year. With high schools closed and the chance of a return of summer contact sport going down by the day, there is less of a chance of an AAU "blowup" in the EYBL a-la Bonzie Colson, Luka Garza, Ty Jerome (UA AAU?)...
The GW coaches have been prospecting the deep DMV high school scene for a while now and could get a gem or two signed before the bigger schools have a chance to see them on the floor. Of course there's some level of risk for both sides as visits are now banned, but I think we have an opportunity to bring in a game-changer freshman as well as, or instead of, a ready-to-go transfer.

BM, thanks for the perspective...makes complete sense to me. Hope you're right and something good can come out of such a difficult situation.

BM, that's a potentially fortuitous point amidst the very unfathomable situation we are all experiencing. GW has a strong track record of signing guys early, and guys we've reached out to who want to sign early may not hear in time from some of the bigger programs.
The other side of the coin is that we may end up seeing less players sign in November than usual, not just at GW but at all schools nationally, so that players allot enough time to hear from every school they'd like to hear from.
