Basketball player missing from GW Hall of Fame

Does anyone other than me think Danilo Pinnock should be a member of our GW Hall of Fame?  I would have thought he'd be a shoe-in. Could it be that leaving after his 3rd year cost him entry?

Absolutely.  And leaving early was the correct decision: he was the only one of the '06 team to get drafted!

The title of this thread gave me a heart attack.

He absolutely should be a member. Yinka left after only 2 years.  I am sure there are other members who also left early.

Hugh, sincere apologies about the way I titled the thread. I just re-read it and see what you mean!

Absolutely agree.  Every starter of the16-0, 6th ranked team should be inducted.

100% I always thought he, Pato and Kethan Savage gave GW the biggest athletic punch from the 2 spot.
At GW we fewer and fewer difference making bigs, but when we get big guards who can defend good things happen.

100% he should be in.  Agree with BM that all of the starters from 05-06 should be in.  Carl not being in as the winningest player in program history is a huge omission.

Re: Basketball player missing from GW Hall of Fame

During Danilo's time as a Colonial he was always one of the most exciting players to watch, with his elite athleticism. I remember during his very first game as a freshman at the Smith Center my wife turning to me and saying "he's going to be a star". He was her favorite player on that team, so much so that even years later while teaching our toddler how to shoot freethrows she'd tell him to make sure to focus on the rim, take a deep breath and blow out your cheeks... just like Danilo 😂
