Lord knows how to respond to a list like this. Combining head coaches and assistant coaches? Ashley Howard has two national championship rings as an assistant, soundly beat GW in the Smith Center, led La Salle to a 15-15 record last season, and is 20 spots lower than JC?
While we're at it, let's take Will Wade off of the list entirely. Coaches who pay players up to $300,000 to play for them ought to have impressive won-loss records. Guys like Wade should be blackballed from the profession let alone glorified in any way.

Agree about Will Wade but not about Ashley Howard. While it’s nice that Howard was an assistant on national championship trams, I think proven head coaches get the benefit of the doubt - and JC twice taking over teams to finish near the bottom and finishing near the top of his league gives him credit over an assistant. Plus in two years at LaSalle, Howard’s teams have been ranked far worse than the teams he took over, per KenPom. In fact, in the last 12 years LaSalle only fielded one team ranked lower than either of the two years Ashley Howard has been there.
