16 points 8 dimes already for James Bishop, on pace for his season averages
Dude. Are you watching the same game??? Seeing the turnovers, number of shots??? Won’t cut it in the A-10. Bishop is a ball hog. Plain and simple.
I’ll give him this - he does finish better than gw player I’ve seen in recent memory

6 turnovers for Bishop

For good or bad, this year-and maybe next

22 points 9 dimes 8 boards for James Bishop. GW wins by 85 to 69.

We won because Turke had to leave for 9 minutes just as they tied the game.

Nice win

Still can't for the life of me tell what JC is trying to do. But last year we only scored more than 80 points in regulation once, and a 16 point margin of victory is the 2nd largest JC has had here.

Nice to get a win. I was a little down on Moyer, but he was impressive in the second half. Let's hope he can do again against tougher competition.

Bishop not that far off from a quadruple double with 20 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds and 7 turnovers.

Game seemed much closer than the score but we beat Coppin by more than Duke did! I'll take it.

What kind of defense calls for only waving your hands around?
Sure seems like we are headed to an NCAA shut down with all the canallations.

What you see is what you get.
GW managed to get a game in against a team even worse than the Colonials. I am not sure Coppin St will win a game this season, and I still don´t see more than one or two A10 wins for this GW team (if you can talk me off the ledge, I am open to your comments).
That game was Division I basketball because the NCAA says it was, but 82 missed shots and 10 missed fts in a 40 minute basketball game is hardly something anyone wants to watch. For you numerologists out there, GW won by 16 and Coppin St scored 16 more points than they missed shots.
So we now know that against Coppin St that Paar, Bishop and Moyer can ball. Then again, I can slam dunk a nerf ball against my 10 year-old nephew. A needed win but hardly a reason to think GW´s name will get called on Selection Sunday (assuming there is one).

Fred, my stream was fine except when full screen when it was a little fuzzy. Does ESPN stream at 720p or perhaps even less? Gurus speak up please.

People are too harsh on Bishop here. It’s not his fault that he has the ball in his hands a lot - that’s the offense the coach runs. And it appears he’s pretty good at it. Yes, too many TOs today, but we did what we needed to do, played defense that looked more like mayhem, and came away with a much needed win.

Great to get a win. It drives me insane to watch this team. No defense. Just hope the other team misses from 3. Any team that gets the ball to either elbow will dunk all day against us. I’m not ready to say Bishop is all ball hog. It seems to me whoever plays the point dribbles, waits for high screen, and drives. Most of the time today pretty poor shots. When they penetrated and dished good things happen. There is no way we can be competitive if we play that zone the majority of the time. Good teams will destroy us on the boards in that zone.

I agree Free, that the board is too harsh on Bishop. He is obviously a skilled player who has put up nice offensive numbers, but he needs to cut down on the turnovers. Even with our offensive system, 7 turnovers are too high. Further, with our system, he does come across as a ball hog, much like Armel did under Christian's system last season. It is still too early...let us see what he can do against better competition. Remember that he is a high major recruit whose only 3 games at GW have been against low major teams. There is an old saying in sports that one of the easiest players to overrate is the leading scorer on a bad team. Let us hope that this isn't the case with James.
