We are not going to win this game. 26 points is too big of a second have deficit to make up. However, i hope the staff is noting that we came back and made a bit of a game of it once we stopped playing that hideous zone.

This is the first time we have looked like what we remember JC’s teams looking like at Siena and MSM. It’s the first time we are playing defense to attack, not just to play it. It’s fine that they’ve gotten a couple of easy buckets when we play like this - forcing TOs, getting in transition, and getting threes up off less predictable assists.

Wow.It only took 4 games to try something different. At least we are playing hard. I’d like to see Moyer for Paar when you man up. Not sure coach will see what’s obvious but I sure hope so.

What a move by Darnell with the shot clock running out. Looked like his dad, other than missing the floater.

Let's hope it's like Ricky Bobby remembering how to drive and we snap JC out of his zone fugue state

Absolutely. Hoping the coaching staff recognizes this and gets rid of the awful zone.

We theoretically can still pull it out and win or tie after furious comeback. But time is ticking.

This is quite an implosion by UMBC. Horvath has gone from the Second Coming of Michael Jordan to JuCo reject, Darnell looks so high strung he may snap, Akin looks like frosh year Marfo.
And all it took was some better D and stretching out possessions to include a pass or two.

Dumb, dumb, dumb by Nelson, who put the final nail in our coffin for this game.

JNJ having a pretty bad shooting night. Still amazes me how athletic this kid is though.

These final 8-10 minutes have been encouraging. They had a real sense of urgency, pressed hard, and made some things happen. Biggest positive we can take away from today's game.

Ok, this is starting to look like a game plan that works and is fun to watch.

Note when James passes in rhythm

No need to foul. Just tough D and get the ball back with plenty of time to tie.

Is this the long-awaited mayhem?

Can we play man the rest of the season?
