Paulus to be Interim HC at Niagara

Jeff Borzello‏ @jeffborzello 2m
Niagara head coach Patrick Beilein is stepping down, sources confirmed to ESPN. Assistant coach Greg Paulus is taking over as the interim head coach.

In case you forgot (like I did), former PG Shandon Brown is also at Niagara.

Re: Paulus to be Interim HC at Niagara

How ironic is it that Greg Paulus got the Niagara job, almost the exact same way the guy he just coached under(MoJo) got the job at GW!!! I looked at the tweet and saw @coachingchanges referenced. I know some of you are aware of Coaching Changes twitter page, but for those of you who are not aware of them, that page "spills the tea" on what COULD be really going on with college coaches and players. The rumor here is, MARRIED Patrick Beilein was trying to "get with" the female Director of Basketball Operations(DOBO) who was dating a Niagara assistant, she then hired a lawyer and reported him!! P.Beilein stepping down is the result of this.

When I came here and saw this, I immediately thought of a player abuse situation which is what happened at GW and several other places, not the coach trying to play "Mr. Friendly" with a woman who works at Niagara!! Down below are some tweets discussing the situation, including one from Patrick's father, John Beielein, the former Michigan coach, who is now the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Re: Paulus to be Interim HC at Niagara

Paulus was at Ohio State when Thad was released.  Louisville to begin the post-Pitino era.  GW after the Lonergan-Nero mess.  And now this at Niagara?  Poor guy is probably wondering whether he can just go someplace and coach basketball.
