This is not odd, given the offers, Kansas, K-State, Stanford, Iowa, Florida, Minnesota...? Never heard of St. Thomas University, though it may be a fine school and have a big basketball future.
Actually it makes more sense than meets the eye. St. Thomas (MN) was a former D3 powerhouse who has recently made the move to D1. In-state kid chooses in-state team. Not that surprising when you think about it.
