No idea but that sounds like someone who can certainly bring in some recruits

Admittedly, I had no idea what EYBL meant, and I suspect there are others that didn't know either, so I looked it up and found this on Wikipedia:
"The
Nike Elite Youth Basketball League,[1][2] also known as Nike EYBL, or simply EYBL, is a basketball circuit for teams of players aged 17 and under. The circuit was founded in 2010[3] and is composed of AAU travel teams.[4] Both boys and girls play in the EYBL in their respective categories. The EYBL is considered one of the top youth basketball circuits in the United States.[5][6][7][8][9]"

How about Team Melo’s head coach? He could bring Gapare back in!

Samurai Hoops @samurai_hoops·21m Samurai Sources are conflicted on the EYBL HC/Program Director potentially joining GW staff… Another factor to consider: If Caputo does add said EYBL personnel it could be AFTER this July… One other name for GW Staff: a current Midwest AC with quite the Twitter followingQuote Tweet

So what would it mean to hire him after Peach Jam?  That it benefits us somehow or hurts us by not having one coach on board for a while?

TBD.. Definitely a negative of not having a full staff until the end of July, but then again maybe his benefits outweigh that. But as they say their sources are conflicted.
Personally i'd love to know who The midwest AC is. That would be a more immediate hire

@AllFactsMedia
Chris Caputo is expected to hire Dwayne Lee as an assistant coach at GW. Lee has spent the last 3 years on staff at Quinnipiac, but was also an assistant at both St Bonaventure and Farleigh Dickinson. Lee played in the A10 at St Joes & has strong ties in New Jersey. #RaiseHigh

Aaron Robinson @AceRobinson_
Lee will join Brenden Straughn on staff @GW_MBB. This leaves one more spot for Caputo to fill, but he now has someone with ties in the DMV area and Lee who is tied into New York and Jersey. This also opens up a spot on staff at Quinnipiac for Baker Dunleavy. #MAACHoops

St Joseph's fans like the hire..

hawkhillhardwood @HHHardwood·20m This would be a GREAT hire for GW. Absolutely loved Dwayne Lee the player. Dwayne Lee the person and Dwayne Lee the coach also HIGH level. D Lee and Brenden Straughn on the same staff…Quote Tweet

Good find. Name certainly sounds familiar. He seems quite qualified to teach assists and defense.
If the report is correct, may be helpful for the last spot to get someone with high-level recruiting experience like Coach Caputo.

Assuming our budget for ACs (while maybe more but not extravagant), I'd say someone like that would either be a young-ish coach like a TJ Thompson or an older coach looking to get away from their spouse.

I think he probably should steer towards someone with some international ties.  I don't know how one acquires those ties but thinking of someone like Nima Omidvar who at one point was able to secure Gapare and also got a NZ recruit to come to Fordham.

Noting that Lamont Franklin is still on the official roster with the new staff and (as Florida Colonial pointed out some time ago) we hired him after five seasons in Miami as DOBO.  We could be done:  Straughn, Franklin, Lee & Rubenstein.

Is Director of Recruiting a new tile/position?   I hope he gets right down to work with lots of positive results real soon.

At 14 years old, Rubenstein becomes the youngest director of recruiting in division 1.

Speaking of recruiting, do we have any insiders willing to say how the Jorge Diaz visit went?
