We are close with a ACC post and a Big 12 small forward but not the names mentioned here so far. In fact, I don't believe anyone has mentioned these names before here although I could have missed it. Staff is hoping for more good news and I believe it will be one or both of these two but we will see. Not as sure as I was about Johnson and Bishop.

So if not people mentioned, does that rule out Anthony Walker and Favor Aire?

There is a non-Miami under the radar post who really intrigues me in Cyril Martynov from Georgia Tech.  He was supposed to be a freshman this year, but reclassified to go to college a year early, but barely played.  He’s a 7 footer who put up big numbers at Peach Jam and those types of AAU tourneys, which we know Caputo values (like how he evaluated Max).    I’ve not heard anything about him or where he might go (he picked GT over Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Mizzou, so no idea if there’s even any connection - just throwing out the name of an ACC post who would be cool to land and might be realistic).

With Bishop's return, how many spots do we have left on the roster for next season? Whatever the number, it's time to add some bigs!

You can always check out the A10 scholarship tree: A-10 Scholarship Tree - Google Sheets

But in general, we have 6 open scholarships and the following players on our roster.
Bishop
Harvey
Edwards
Johnson
Autry
Jones
Hutchinson
As of now Luke Cronin and Laziz Talipov are walk-ons too.

Agree with you that front court players are an absolute priority.  I think this year's Miami team is the blueprint so expect bigs more like Omier in the 6'7" 6'8" range.

If I had to guess, CC will hold one or two for 2024 plus the one he gets back for Bishop. So I would say he adds 4-5 max. Possible that he could add more if it was a grad transfer situation so he got the scholarship back for 2024.

We need guys bigger than 6'8"to compete in the league. If Mason can get an Oduro, we can too. No one player harder than Ricky Lindo, but he struggled against taller frontcourt guys.

Peeps following Benny Schroeder from Oklahoma on Insta.  German 6'7" freshman with lots of hype coming to the US.  Scored a lot of points in Germany.

Best guess for dmv's injured European.

Understand the need to balance the classes, although regular transfers can help with that.
But the lesson of last season might be to stock up on graduate transfers, as mentioned above, rather than openings for spots we don't want to fill permanently. Maybe allowing for a mid-season transfer in.

That would be a really nice addition.

A Big 12 small forward? From Oklahoma maybe? Nah, he's a guard isn't he?

Schröder would be a great pick up.  Could be a really good player if he’s over his injuries.  Exactly the kind of guy we should be plucking from P5 schools.

I mentioned him as potentially the ACC post player GWRising was alluding to in the other thread and right on cue we have shown interest in Clemson's Ben Middlebrooks. The tweet says he has a visit to NC State scheduled while Auburn and Georgia have also reached out, among other schools. Would be a really really nice pickup https://twitter.com/Riley_Davis3/status/1645897696685817863?s=20

In the Department of Players recruited by Miami in the Portal, we now have Matthew Cleveland from Florida State, 6'7" shooting guard.  Averaged, 14 & 7.

That guy a star.  Can’t imagine he’s considering options that aren’t big schools with big NIL programs.

Former Oklahoma wing Benny Schröder is transfering to George Washington, he told ESPN. The 6'7 German national team player was the second leading scorer at the FIBA U18 European Championship in 2021. Should be an impact player for Chris Caputo in the A-10.
