Where would we be without wishful thinking?

Feel free to discuss 2025 recruits here.

Son of former GW Player Valery Khamenia is starting to get offers. Is this another Patrick Ngongba II situation where it is a must offer?

Nikolas Khamenia
@NikolasKhamenia
After a great talk with Coach Haase and Coach Dunson I am excited to announce that I have received an offer from Stanford University

Take it with a grain of salt but Zak Boisvert started following Nikolas on Twitter.  At a minimum, he's on our radar.

It was a pleasure to have UVA’s @CoachWillyUVA and GW’s @CoachB_315 in the gym today. Appreciate them coming out to see workouts.

Probably there watching 2025 F Nate Ament, who AC Straughn is now following on Twitter.  Currently holds offers from Mason, Bryant, and NJIT

Between Kwame Evans Jr, Patrick Ngongba Jr and this kid, we have the best sons of players team in the country.

2025 6'5 wing Brady Loughlin from https://www.cityofbasketballlove.com/news_article/show/1277099:

Loughlin’s been more good than lucky, for sure; the 6-5 wing guard, who’s playing his grassroots ball with Jersey Force, contributed 18 points in Don Bosco’s 56-33 win over Archbishop Carroll on Saturday morning, going 4-of-9 from downtown with a couple and-ones, including the circus shot. It’s consistent outings like that which have helped him pull in offers from Albany, Fairfield and Iona, with interest from some higher levels; he said he’d heard from George Washington, Florida Atlantic, William & Mary and “some Patriot League schools” and he’s also doing the Ivy League camp rounds, going to Yale, Harvard and Princeton’s at various points this summer.=11pt“Definitely something I’m looking for in a school is the high academics,” he said. “I just want to play the biggest basketball I can at the best school I can. Anywhere I can find both would be a great fit.”

Thanks to DMV for posting all of the recent 2025 offers to all the local guys.

Great to see CC and staff reaching out and making a tremendous effort to recruit the local talent!

Not sure if I've seen a dozen-ish player offer-dump before.

Just to be clear ... "heard from" = interest not an offer. Doesn't mean there won't be an offer but not one presently. There are also offers given that you can't commit to - in other words they won't take your commitment right now even though listed as an offer.

Very hard to know which offers can be committed to and which ones cannot and that often changes with time and other commitments.

As a I mentioned before, most schools have a board in which they list players by class and position. Some schools may go 15-20 deep or more at a position, others less. A school might offer 4 WFs but really be interested in 2 and if they don't get one of those 2 then consider accepting the commitment of the other 2. Of course, the transfer portal also plays into this as some schools will offer but tell kids they aren't taking commitments until the Spring when they see what's in the portal.
