Yes. This might have been one of the best kept secrets in GW basketball history. I learned about it a week ago but was told not to say anything here so I honored that request. I think GW wanted to wait until the surgery was done and they had an idea of the rehab timetable.

But to answer your question, at this point you should assume he's out for 2024-25 absent a miraculous rehab. It is usually 10-12 months at best.

I really feel for Garrett. The young man cannot catch a break. This really sucks for him and for GW. But here is to hoping his rehab goes well and we see him in 2025-26.

Of all the college basketball players, maybe all college athletes, he is the last one I want this to have happen to. Please stop sticking pins into his voodoo doll. Hoping for a full and speedy recovery.

This is just awful.  GWAA said it best...of all the college basketball players...

Can not imagine him being ready to play this season.  Praying for a quick and complete recovery.  How can you not feel for this young man?

Disheartening news.
But Garrett is very strong emotional lyrics and physically.
Wishing a good recovery for him and best for Garrett and his family who are part of our GW family.

very sad news
I hope
1) he has a great recovery period
2) continues to advance academically
3) stays connected to the team
4) and comes back for the 25-26 season
