Sara Lewis has entered the portal, citing "coaching change".
I would have thought players would wait to see who the successor is, but apparently not.

Bummer. As I said to friends yesterday at the game as the second half descended into acceptance, “Can’t even know how to look forward to next year. No idea who will be back.” Already started on the women’s side. Wonder if they’ll still be called the Revolutionaries with all the changes coming with a new coach. Well, maybe that aspect wouldn’t be so bad.

@EJayArrow

NEWS: Sources tell me Morgan Matthews is set to enter the transfer portal out of George Washington.

The 6’0” freshman guard averaged 3.3 PPG & 2.0 RPG in 17 games played this season (15.6 MPG).

She amassed 1,602 points at Pennington HS (NJ).

Miriam Diala has joined Lewis and Matthews in the portal.

Too bad - she looked like she had a decent up side.

Kyraha Parnell is headed to Furman. Also looked like a player with some size, athleticism, and upside potential.

Anyone else concerned at how slow things have been moving?  We sure could use some players...

For sure. I don't remember seeing any announcements about even the full coaching staff yet which is very surprising. Thought that would be finalized by now.

Also I just saw that Nya Robertson is heading to Tennessee. Good that she's leaving SMU because that new coach they hired is awful. The way Barnes put down all mid-major coaches was inappropriate and wrong.

Great news! Had a hint earlier when the team posted pictures advertising to come see next year’s action and one of the pictures was Sara. Congrats to Sara and Coach G.

The coaching staff part seems completed.... now if we can only get some talented front court transfers...

Transfer from Georgetown

Both seem like good moves. I especially like adding Nya Morris, who was one of the best scorers in D2 last year. According to this tweet (https://x.com/morris_nya/status/1907547352639971815) from her a few days ago, she also had "strong interest" from UNLV, UCF, Robert Morris, Rutgers, and Northwestern.

Jaeda Wilson is left handed and was signed with Marquette before flipping to Georgetown. 4.1 points per game, 44.4% from two, 23.6% from three (but 86.4% from the free throw line) in 17.3 minutes per game. Can't remember the last time there was a left handed player on the women's team (although I'm likely missing an obvious one)
