Not sure I've seen this here. Atlantic 10 Media Day will take place this Monday at Capital One arena. ESPN+ is carrying it. GW's session will be in the morning but I have not found an exact time. The overall event starts at 8:30.
Thanks for flagging. I had not seen this either. Will be great to sail into that off a competitive tilt woth the Hoyas.
I also was pleasantly surprised that tomorrow’s game is on ESPN+ as I can’t attend because I have to go to a rehearsal dinner- where I will be holding the phone below table level the entire time. Do t think I’ll be allowed to have earbuds in however. 😂😂
Jeepers creepers. The ultimate showdown between good and evil with the fate of humankind in the balance, and you are going to a rehersal (not even the real thing) dinner? That will not look good on your c.v. This is our big chance to slake our thirst on the blood of our enemies and you will take a pass to be surrounded by in-laws and bridesmaids who would rather be out clubbing?!?!? Your life is forever devoid of meaning! (don´t take this too personally, my hate juices are flowing like a gusher at this point; less than 24 hours to go)

Picked 5th in The A10 Preseason:
George Washington was selected fifth in the preseason poll, with 207 points.
The Revolutionaries—who hosted and won an NIT game last year after going 19-16 overall—will be led by senior guard Jean Aranguren
who received preseason all-conference third team recognition from the panel of voters.
VCU and Saint Louis were separated by just one voting point among the league’s head coaches and select media members. The Rams received 308 voting points and 11 first-place votes while the Billikens had 307 points and ten first-place votes. The teams met expectations a year ago, tying for the regular-season crown as both finished 15-3 in conference play.
Both then went on to play in the NCAA Tournament and win a game at March Madness
Saint Louis beat Georgia before falling to eventual champion Michigan while VCU beat North Carolina in overtime before losing to an Illinois team that made the Final Four."
Dayton picked 3rd
Mason 4th
Any big surprises? Fordham perhaps?
Feels like one or more of the GW transfers will end up on an all A10 Team
Lovro, Dylan or Omari? maybe 2?

SLU just got a lot stronger
According to multiple reports, Saint Louis men's basketball forward Robbie Avila was granted a temporary restraining order on Friday, Oct. 23 that provides him a fifth year of eligibility and a path to rejoin the Billikens roster for the 2026-27 season.

Like the football players who wanted to rejoin LSU, SLU must also face the possibility of forfeiting any game that Avila plays in should that decision be reversed over the course of the season. It will be interesting to see whether SLU decides to play Avila right away.

Not sure if this has been shared yet, but Matt Norlander has 5 Atlantic 10 teams in his top 101, including GW at number 76.

This is indeed definitely bullish and a lot higher than the KenPom prediction
"I'm bullish on the Atlantic 10 being a three-bid league due to 76 slots available in 2027 and plenty of talent influx into the league. George Washington ranked top-five in A-10 spending after bringing aboard wing Omari Witherspoon from Pitt, wing Terrence Arceneaux from NC State (I'm still a believer!), big man Dylan James from Georgia and backup big Andrija Vukovic from Oklahoma State.
The majority of the rotation will be juniors, seniors and grad transfers. Coach Chris Caputo has his most rugged defensive roster yet, which should equate to his best team in the District."

From the A10 site GW preview
the Revs lost a frustrating batch of close games last year. But he isn’t going to ignore the real improvement the Revolutionaries have experienced over the last four seasons, either.
Especially last year, when Caputo’s hard-luck team still won 19 games.
“First time in the NIT in 10 years, first time in the top 100 in 10 years, first time in the top 100 of the NET ever,” Caputo said. “Good progress from our group.”
Is there more in the tank? If so, it will be with a dramatically different roster. Only one major contributor—point guard Jean Aranguren—returns to Foggy Bottom.
“I think this team is a little bit more well balanced,” Caputo said. “I think we’ll have a little more chops defensively while also having the ability to score. I like the seriousness of approach. I like the demeanor of the group. We haven’t had to ask these guys to play hard. They kind of do it.”
“I think the depth of our frontcourt,” Caputo said. “The serious of approach of a guy like Dylan, a guy like Lovro. Andrija’s experience in the Big 12 and internationally, I feel really good about our frontcourt, our versatility and our size there.”
Reasons to be optimistic: Not to be too simplistic, but GW has plenty of players who have spent time in power conference programs. Maybe all of them won’t pan out for the Revolutionaries, but clearly there is talent to work with.
In addition to James and Vukovic, George Washington picked up Terrance Arceneaux (Houston/N.C. State), Ryder Frost (Notre Dame), Felix Kossaras (Colorado), Aidan Shaw (Boston College) and Omari Witherspoon (Pitt).
Plus, the Revolutionaries are bigger.
“Being able to really get some size on the perimeter and on the wing that we may have lacked in the past [was a priority],” Caputo said. “We felt like we were very skillful but a little bit small on the backcourt. I think we’ve gone the other way now were you’ll see real positional size across the board at the guard and wing positions.”
