Women's volleyball goes 2-1 on opening weekend, defeating Howard (25-13, 25-21, 25-21) and Hartford (25-17, 25-21, 25-21) in straight sets, and falling to American (23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-25) in 4 sets.

Sounds like they got some good experience down there over the weekend.
They are back at it at the Pirate Invitational at ECU on Friday & Saturday.

Team went 2-1 in the Pirate Invitational.
In match 1, they defeated Norfolk State 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-7).
In match 2, they fell to host East Carolina 0-3 (20-25, 16-25, 18-25).
In match 3, they beat USC Upstate 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-17).

Wow. Nice win just now against Sam Houston.
We were down 8-12 in the final set, and then down 12-14, and then the women won the next four points to clinch (16-14) the match!!! NICE.

Volleyball had a nice comeback against George Mason, coming back to win in 5 sets after dropping the first two (22-25, 23-26, 25-20, 25-17, 15-11). Junior Skylar Lott had an impressive 33 kills in the game.

Just to echo DMVP's post, what a stunning comeback that was on Saturday. We lost the first two sets and then were down 12-17 in the third when Coach Bernson called our last timeout. The women then came out and won the next 13 out of 16 points. --And then won the last two sets. WHAT. A. COMEBACK!!!

Paty Valle really made the difference with four kills in the 5th set of this match.

Skylar Iott had 18 kills overall. Jordan Young had 14.
