Before I bought some online, I figured I'd see if anyone here had 2 tickets (blue seats preferred) they were looking to unload. Thanks!

No matter how this ends, is anyone here feeling optimistic about A10 play after tonight?
Nope. The broadcast indicated Caputo was yelling to foul, but how was that not clearly explained during the timeout? The coaching, awful FT shooting, and non-existent 3 point shooting make getting more than a couple of home wins in A10 play feel like a pipe dream.

Besides the terrible matchups, can we discuss the lack of weekend games? Not exactly making it easy to bring kids, though it seems questionable at best that they care about anyone coming given the competition to begin with

This trend of scheduling D-II games during the season is disturbing. Of the 350 plus D-1 schools, there must be one of them willing to play us. I don't want to be watching us playing D-II.
I hear ya LSF. I don’t like it either. There are a bunch of factors as to why this is happening.
Simply put, the pool of available games are shrinking. There may very well be no D1 team available on that date, or if there is, we either don’t want to pay their asking price or don’t want to commit to a Home and Home. The available D1 may also have just gotten done playing their entire OOC on the road and may want a break as opposed to playing another road game in late December in DC.
High Majors are playing each other or buying home games against low level teams. HMs are not going on the road to play mid to low tier A10 teams anymore.
Low Majors are basically using the non-con to fund their program. If they can, they will sell themselves to the highest bidder. Some schools are getting $70-80k per game.
A10 teams all still want to play a majority of OOC games at home too like they’ve always done for their fans. Outside of Dayton/SLU/VCU, most A10 teams don’t have the budget to buy a one off game against a quality MM program. So instead we buy whatever D1 home games we can find and then fill in the gaps with a D2. Again, A10 schools try hard to not get stuck playing home and homes.
I think I saw that even a school like Illinois State is only playing one true road game. That’s absurd. The entirety of D1 (outside of the cupcakes who need money) have become cowards about ever playing on the road. I remember when the 05-06 team played Marshall on the road. There is a 0.0% chance that game gets scheduled today.
I get that scheduling is much harder in this environment and given where the program is, but at least last year I don't think we saw lots of other A10 teams scheduling D2 games. I hate it. It's not

On today's episode of The Ringer podcast The Press Box, alum Tim Miller makes mention in the first minute or two that he used to converse with fellow alum Clay Travis on GWHoops back when Travis was an upset Al Gore voter (how the times have changed). My wife brought this to my attention, and was shocked to know that this site (and its predecessor) are known by seemingly more than 25 people.

Thanks! It's honestly amazing Wyoming was able to get that done so quickly and get Wicks to sign late in the offseason, although I don't think Green Bay had too many players committed. Now Green Bay has to go through another coaching change, just when things were starting to look up after a disastrous three win season a couple years ago...I guess they have to go the interim promotion route unless some former head coach is really excited about a decent but not great Horizon League job.
In a surprising twist, Doug Gottlieb is the new HC at Green Bay. Didn't see that one coming

On a side note, this kind of a move in May screws both the school and players. Wyoming just signed a guy from Japan a day earlier! Whoever takes over at Wyoming won't have many replacement options to work with and the players won't have many landing spots either. I assume the Cowboys promote their top assistant but Sundance Wicks (awesome name/current Green Bay HC) would be a great choice and he's a WY native.
Nailed it, dmv - Sundance Wicks to Wyoming

Davidson will host VMI as part of its 24-25 non-conference schedule, per sources. The date is set for Friday, November 22nd inside Belk Arena.
Additionally, George Washington will host VMI on Friday, November 29th inside the Smith Center.
Hard to imagine a huge crowd for that one that Friday after Thanksgiving...

Based on what's available on the website, games were on ESPN+ last year, and the gym is at least a HS, if not a low major college gym, so an upgrade all around

This team has sucked the joy and optimism I had for this season and beyond. Going forward, there is Buchanan, Johnson, Hutchinson and a couple of guards that I have never seen play. Maybe Max if he can get his act together. I have seen so little development in anyone on the team other than Hutch and Buchanan. And of the 3 or 4 “good” players, who knows if all of them will stay. Further, the conference season has severely shaken my confidence in the coaching staffs ability to fix things. So yes, I still go to the games and watch, but it has t been much fun in a while.
What LSF said, combined with fear that the few good players we have who aren't graduating will transfer out after this dumpster fire
