GW Men's Hoops » 2024 schedule » 4/17/2024 2:52 pm

Based on what's available on the website, games were on ESPN+ last year, and the gym is at least a HS, if not a low major college gym, so an upgrade all around https://basketballtravelers.com/mens-paradise-jam/

Given all the conversation lately about NIL and transfers and coaches, I decided to start doing a monthly donation to FoG: https://fogcollective.com/ - direct link to donate https://bpsfoundation.net/donations/georgewashingtonuniversity/

Are they providing you with anything for the monthly donation?  The website seems pretty bare bones

This team has sucked the joy and optimism I had for this season and beyond. Going forward, there is Buchanan, Johnson, Hutchinson and a couple of guards that I have never seen play. Maybe Max if he can get his act together. I have seen so little development in anyone on the team other than Hutch and Buchanan. And of the 3 or 4 “good” players, who knows if all of them will stay. Further, the conference season has severely shaken my confidence in the coaching staffs ability to fix things. So yes, I still go to the games and watch, but it has t been much fun in a while.

What LSF said, combined with fear that the few good players we have who aren't graduating will transfer out after this dumpster fire

Have to assume this is primarily a football move, but with the way bball has gone I'm sure that didn't hurt.  URI now the only New England member left in the conference.

GW Men's Hoops » PA volume at games » 1/29/2024 3:26 pm

The good news is Saturday was the first time I could hear the PA at all this season.  The bad news is I couldn't hear myself think

He's often at games, but only occasionally there for the Post.

We are 9 and 2 yet according to ESPN there were only 1200 people at the game. Why is that? Smith Center only seats 5000, we should be able to pack it with rabid fans

An exhibition game in December doesn't exactly get the juices flowing.

GW Women's Hoops » Schedule » 8/22/2023 3:16 pm

Any idea when the schedule comes out?  I assumed it would be around the same time as the men, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

7 posts in 4 days about a new player might be the least enthusiasm I've seen.  Should we move this to the main board?  Maybe people haven't seen it?

Looks like he’s in town for a visit

Given the list, wonder if it's for GW or Georgetown

GW Men's Hoops » Freshmen Duo » 5/15/2023 9:41 am

Most talented - Carl and JR.
Biggest impact, since that seems to be the crux of your second question - Pops and Mike

GW Men's Hoops » GW player of the Decade: The 2000s » 4/28/2023 10:03 am

Carl 1 - 4 years of postseason play, including the NIT run as a freshman, and willing the 07 tourney run as creeksandzeeks said.  Plus he was so clutch (see the Dayton and Charlotte games, among others).

2. Has to be Mike Hall for me.  Not the flashiest player on those teams, but did EVERYTHING.  The epitome of a glue guy.

Another Miami transfer from Caputo's time there - guard Harlond Beverly.  PT dropped significantly this year (12 mins from 28 2 years before)
