"Ongoing relationship"? If you mean a renewal of the blood feud, then BRING IT ON!

I don’t think it’s been mentioned here yet, but college basketball is moving to a 32 game schedule in 26-27.

Can you imagine an exhibition bringing in the highest attendance of the season for a school? Am willing to bet that this: a) has never happened, and b) will happen in October.
Just my luck, I will be away on a damn Greek Island cruise that my wife insisted on booking on the day of the game. I am most curious about what attendance will be. Obviously, all of us old timers are as happy as can be about the game. On the other hand, the rivalry ended over 40 years ago and the overall popularity of college basketball, especially at GW, has greatly declined over the years, making wonder how many without our history are excited about the prospect of a game

Some deductive reasoning...
Last year, GW opened at home against Mercyhurst. It was Mercyhurst's first ever division 1 game.
The year before, GW opened at home against Stonehill. It was Stonehill's first ever division 1 game.
In 2025-26, the University of New Haven makes the jump from D2 to D1.
Three in a row?

Missing
1 regular season OOC game
and potentially a 2nd Exhibition Game

If the last two seasons are a guide, the OOC game probably will be a game against a Division 2 opponent.

I would really feel better about the schedule if we had all D-1 opponents. It's a sad statement to say this but that's how far things have fallen the last few years.

It's fair to say last season's OOC was very weak but I think if you say that you also have to praise this year's OOC. It's about as good as you are going to do at GW unless you want to have very few home games. We simply can't get Quad 1 teams in Smith Center (and very hard to get Quad 2) which means you have to expect a diet of Quad 3 and 4 home games. So if you don't like those, you are forced to go on the road. CC did a great job of getting Quad 1/2 games at neutral sites.

I think every A10 team but one played a non-D1 team last season (SLU played 2!), so if we get a schedule with all D1 teams it would be a minor coup.

I'll take quad 3 and 4 over D2 any day. So far so good with the schedule, just hope to see it finished off the right way

Wasn´t last season´s game with a D2 team the result of a (nominally) DI team pulling out of the scheduled game at too late a date for another DI team to take its place? I don´t think GW actively sought out a D2 opponent last season, just wound up with one due to circumstances. (That said, last year´s OOC schedule was, to put it mildly, underwhelming).

One of the things that jumps out about this schedule is there is only one road game; Army. I do like the schedule.
