This is just more of the same from GW. It’s sad that both coaches sign the email when they have nothing to do with the decision. The AD should own it and be the focus. Supposedly, there’s a site across from the Smith Center that is plan B. I don’t see D3 in the future but we need better and stronger leadership.

Hansen started 30 games for a very good Cornell team which played 10 guys every game. If he contributes more with 5-10 minutes more he’s valuable. The Providence kid is a more athletic big than the Auburn kid, but still raw. The combination of the 2 should be a plus. There’s more to come.

There’s no doubt that Johnson is not playing because of his hip. He’s probably done for the year. JB may be also.

You may see 3 new starters tonight due to injuries. Could be a very long night with a very short bench.

I know for a fact they were in the running for a power forward and a center with D1 experience. The price was too high. One is at Georgetown and the other who barely played at Miami, and is a local, went to Penn State.CC should be able to get the players we lack as FOG is stronger this year. College sports has become the wild Wild West. If we can keep the young nucleus let’s hope good things will happen.

Losing sucks. The way we are playing and losing sucks. However, the core of Edwards, Buchanan, Johnson, maybe the freshman guards is a pretty good foundation. I’m not sure people understand how much money players are getting now to play. CC started from scratch and has a decent war chest to fill in the holes. It’s really hard when there’s no upper class leaders or senior playing at the level we all hoped for. At least talent is here and there will be more to come.

Nobody who watched last night should be pleased by what they saw. Everyone has some valid observations. When we were winning we were really outscoring our opponents. Lately, the 3’s are not falling and the defense is still lacking. Actually, I’m not sure Max is the issue. Lasalle starts 2 guards under 6 ft tall why not post Max and let him work one of them. There’s no way they would stop him. At the end of the day this team is the first one in 7+ years that has the talent to compete with any team in the league. Some of this is to be expected especially when JB has been struggling to score.

Great win. League looks very balanced. As someone said earlier Bishop was fouled on the winning shot. Also got some quality minutes from the bench in the 1st half. You have to give them credit. They play hard and can score. Johnson was clutch in the last 2 minutes. If we could stop fouling on the 3’s it would be nice. Although I don’t think Bamiselle was fouled on his 3.

I agree withe comments regarding Max in the last couple of games. I've been told that he's been sick and is playing through it.Also, it is very hard to watch them play when they miss foul shots, turn the ball over, and play weak on defense. As many of you know this is the first time since Lonergan was here that we have had the pieces to compete. They are young. Yes, Buchanan is streaky at the line but his ability is obvious. He actually covers 1-5 during a game. Lets be patient and see what happens starting Wednesday. If you don't think this is the most young talent we've had in a long time you're not watching the game.

Brown seemed like really nice kid. He never really could stay on the floor and contribute. It's time for CC to bring in some real players who can compete in the A10. Actually the loss of Samuels and Brown are a real positives and will open the door to success.

A large factor in lack of attendance was the fact that the Marine Corp Marathon made accessing the District a nightmare. The big problem again this year is the lack of a true rebounding presence. Noel Brown looks as lost as he has for 2 years. I continue to hope Lindo will become Dennis Rodman, Jr. but he continues to pick up cheap fouls and disappears on the court. This team will need to show a defensive grit and toughness that has been missing since the ML days to have any success. Let's hope next Monday is a step in that direction.

Ive been told that neither Max or Hunter Dean played because of health issues. Feedback I got was the performance was pretty underwhelming. Obviously, there are a major depth issues and no one played well enough to show that has changed. Also, should hear tomorrow about about first commitment.

Twice a day I check Verbal Commits to see what talent CC and staff have brought in. So far nothing. We certainly have a ton of PT to offer but I'm not sure what else. I'm pretty confident that Bishop and Adams are exploring their options. Lindo is gone. Nixon is an unknown. Is he eligible? I wish I could see an upside. Time will tell but it sure leaves a bad taste regarding the future of the program.

So how long does it take before a GW fan/donor/supporter feels like the Administration could care less about its fan base. The AD knows nothing about basketball. There is no emphasis on winning. They make a coaching change and tell us to believe in the process. How’s that working? If Williford turned the job down for reasons already noted that leaves me with a sinking feeling. Great leaders do great things when times feel the worse. I’m not waiting for a positive sign from the powers that be.

No one is saying JC was the answer. Most people think year 4 should have been make it or break it. When a decision is made the timing will  put us behind the 8 ball attempting to save existing players and recruit quality transfers. The problem continues to be lack of leadership and lack of financial support. If you trust TV or whoever is making the decision to correct the issues good luck to you.

There was a plan in place when Russ Ramsey and Randy Levine were on the Board. Ave Tucker is the athletic point on the Board today. I’m not sure he shares the same vision, although he attended GW on a baseball scholarship. If the School will spend the money it can be competitive and contend for a title. There are quite a few people close to the situation who are trying to get the attention of the powers that be. It’s pretty obvious that the AD is not really making the calls. The people who care and have the ability to fund need to see from the School that they want to win. If that becomes obvious the situation can be corrected.
