I hope he is wrong. This would be the saddest departure for me since Battle, and probably the second saddest for me ever.

This is a year-to-year deal now. I feel nothing when these kids leave for two reasons. First, because they are doing what is in their best interests so I am doing what is in mine - not caring. Second, because I know coming in almost all of them are possible one year rentals, I don't get invested as much in the individual  personalities. Gone are the days when a kid was here for three or four years and you really got to know them and felt they represented GW and would become GW alumni. It feels like rotisserie baseball where you can retain 5 players each year.

This is a good way to put it. I feel like there is not a true way to build a fanbase or fan buy in with new players coming in and out every year. Makes it far more difficult to build consistent interest when people have to learn new players every year. Sad turn our sport has taken

Buchanan leaving has felt inevitable since he got moved to the bench in January. Body language change was extremely visible

As a statistical anomaly, it's practically impossible to shoot 4-27 from 3 and still score 75 points in a college game.  I wonder how often a team shoots under 15% from 3 taking at least 25 3's and still scores this many points?

This is the first time in the game log era (2004-05) where GW shot under 15% from 3 with over 25 attempts. Still won!

Winning this game was certainly an accomplishment and a sign that CC is doing a great job to get the most out of the team. Clearly playing to their strengths. Now just imagine if they made two or three more of those threes and we look at this game as a total blowout. "

A HUGE home game against Duquesne at the Smith Center. Max Edwards returns. Are we for real??

Need a huge crowd from alums and the students. Let's pack the Smith Center and do what we can to get our friends, etc out for this big game.

Let's hope we can get back on track. Otherwise talk on McCombs seat will continue. The lack of progress over the last few years is unacceptable at this point

Christian Jones looks really good. Also Autry needs to play more, probably over Moss at this point. Great shooter.

"Based on the strengths and areas of development mentioned in this scouting report, I project Darren Buchanan Jr. to be a potential top-20 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. His productivity as an underclassman at the mid-major level puts him on the radar of every NBA scout out there"

cool write up on Buchanan and deep dive into his play
