While fun news for 20-21 - if these have at least a return game in 21-22 we will have both Va Tech and Tennessee coming to the Smitty. with last years class being Juniors- not to look too far ahead but that could be a special year

Hope it goes as well as the last GW-Tennessee game at Barclays did like 5 years ago.

Playing American as expected at home. Wouldn't be surprised if we play Howard again as well.

I hope we do get to play American...that means there will be a season, something which I presently have strong doubts about. With Covid 19 cases again on the rise nationally and us being in the good season (meaning warm weather), which is suppose to decrease the outbreaks), I think we are still looking as some serious self isolating at home once again come November, even if the idiots who run the goverment are running around and shouting "stay calm, all is well". On the other hand, if we do play games in arenas without fans, that should only work to GWs advantage, as we accustomed to doing so already.

.@CharlotteMBB and George Washington signed contract last few days for 2-game series. 49ers and Colonials will play Dec. 22 in DC, at Halton in 21-22 season.

It's not so much about recruiting, but rather about their alumni...There is a huge base of Hokie alumni in the DMV, I believe greater than any other location.
So what would be the equivalent school for GW to visit? Hofstra?

Ivy League just announced that there will be no sports until Jan 1. I assume that means our game against Brown will be canceled.

It will be interesting to see if teams try to reschedule these games with a different opponent or if they just leave the date empty.

The way the virus is increasing its infections, the best guess might be that there will be no fall sports and we will be lucky to start season Jan. 1. There is no national leadership to get the virus under control.

Good thing that GW doesn't play Georgetown.
