Wow, upset of the year! Anyone know the spread on that game??
it was in Rupp too, must have been pretty huge

UK was a 25 pt favorite. It was +3750 for Evansville to win outright.

If we beat UMKC and they beat ECU, we could be facing them in the Bahamas tournament. Would definitely be a tough matchup given what they were able to do tonight.

Collin Smith and UCF is now playing on CBS SportsNetwork against Miami. It's a close game early in the 2nd half. They said that C.Smith is now their #1 or 2 option on offense, he's in some foul trouble though
UMass beat Jordan Roland and Northeastern 80-71 tonight. J.Roland scored 14

WOW! what an upset!

#23 LSU at VCU 6 on ESPN2 - when a VCU coach leaves for a BCS school, they put a clause in his contract that says he must play a game at VCU. This must be the reason this game is being played because I don't think many BCS schools would agree to play a road game at VCU
St.Joseph's at UConn 7 on CBS SportsNetwork
Long Island U at George Mason 7 on ESPN+

Two bad losses for the conference last night (in addition to GW): The Bonnies lose by 13 to Coach Carm and Siena while Charlotte inexplicably handles Davidson by 13. Both were on the road but both are still bad.

VCU pulls out the home win over #23 LSU.
St Joe's leading St John's 57-39 early in the second half.
Could turn out to be a good night for the A-10.

Agreed Block or Charge, this should be a great night for the A10!! VCU and LSU both made DUMB plays down the stretch, LSU just wanted to lose it a little more!! LSU had no answer for VCU big man Santos-Silva, it was good to see an A10 player dominate an SEC front line like that.
St.Joe's has just dominated UConn from the opening tip(they were up by about 25 in the 1st half), they've hit a bunch of 3's. St.Joe's guard Ryan Daly(a transfer from Delaware) has been outstanding, he's looking like an All-A10 player. Dan Hurley must be getting some bad flashbacks to his early Rhode Island years as he watches his team get pounded by an A10 team. St.Joe's was projected to finish last by a lot of outlets, so for them to be playing this well at UConn is surprising

Great win for VCU!
What a disaster at St John's Mullin was huh?
Thoughts on Ewing so far?
Juwan Howard as an idea to Michigan?
Penny!?

Marfo with 7 points and 14 rebounds in Quinnipiac's close loss to Brown yesterday. He is currently #3 in the nation in rebounding. Arnaldo is #1. Nice to see Kevin playing well elsewhere. Imagine if he was paired with AT down low this year though. Our rebounding would be truly elite.
Also, it appears Chris Sodom is now at Delaware State, but has yet to appear in a game.

You know, maybe coaching does make a difference in player development.

Marfo is currently 3rd in the country in rebounds/game only behinid Langevine (URI) and Toro.

Quinnipiac has played one game so far, so take his rebounds per game with that in mind. The 14 rebounds were in 18 minutes, which is impressive; But he also fouled out in 18 minutes, which is not so impressive.

Looks like Tyler Cavanaugh injured his ankle after a breakout game last week (14pts). Should be out 2-3 months Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Jamesville-DeWitt basketball star Tyler Cavanaugh sustained damage to the ligaments of his right ankle during a Nov. 9 practice and will miss two, possibly three months recovering from the injury.Cavanaugh, playing overseas for the first time in his career, was going up for a layup during a practice with Alba Berlin, when he stepped on a teammate’s foot. Initially, he believed the injury to be a mere sprain, but the ankle swelled on both sides and tests revealed the ligament damage. He’s on crutches and wearing a boot as his ankle heals. “I’ll be alright,” he said today by phone. “It’s a bummer, but it is what it is.”Cavanaugh injured the same ankle when he played for the Atlanta Hawks two seasons ago. He will stay in Berlin to rehab and hopes to return to the court some time soon after the new year.Alba is 5-1 in the German league and 1-6 in Euroleague, which offers the best brand of basketball in Europe. Cavanaugh averaged 8.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14 minutes in the Euroleague games. A 6-foot-10 big man, he shot 57.1 percent from the 3-point line. In the German league, he averaged 6.4 points and 3.4 rebounds over 15.4 minutes and was 3-of-8 from the 3-point line.Cavanaugh talked earlier this season about the difficulties of adjusting to a new coach, a new system and a new continent. He is enjoying his time in Germany, where he lives with his fiancee and will soon be visited by his parents and two sisters. The basketball, he said, was starting to make more sense when he went down with the ankle trouble.

Between Garino and Cavanaugh in Europe and the NBA and Pops and Mike Hall in the NBA suffering truly ill-timed injuries, we seem to have very hard luck in the pros.
Tyler should have been in the NBA, not playing in Berlin. Don't know if Euroleague is different than here, but hope and assume he is paid during rehab.

60 to 60 on ESPN vs #15 Florida
Towson might be a lot better than expected
Offline
Bad shots in their last two possessions cost Towson a chance to upset the Gators but I agree it shows this Towson team is not some cupcake.

I guess Florida isn't that good could also be an explanation! (but I think the former)
I see that America's most underrated Coach, Leonard Hamilton just beat them for an incredible 7th time in a row.

Great game last night in Richmond with the Spiders topping Vandy in OT. Very strong guard play by Richmond with Gilyard and Francis scoring 50.
