I would hope we get at least one game in before maryland. Playing them first, with all these newcomers is not ideal.

The season starts November 9th so I'd imagine a game would be played that day. Last time we didn't play on the official opening day was in 2012-2013 and that was one day later so doubtful we'd wait for two days after.

I live about 40 minutes from Fullerton. Would I get tickets through our ticket office or theirs?

If you would like to sit (in all likelihood) either behind or close to the Colonial bench, or in a GW section should there be one, call GW's ticket office.

Other MG, I saw GW play at Fullerton several years ago - I think it was the "Wooden Classic".
As I recall, they played Virginia Tech and University of Miami at Fullerton and before moving over to the Anaheim Pond for the final rounds (where they beat Creighton).
Small arena but not a bad seat in the place - I think they still have "bleacher/bench type seating. Just make sure you get anywhere behind the visitor's bench.

Thanks for the advice, Gwmayhem and Joel Joseph. I'll check with the GW ticket office, and make sure I sit behind our bench. Would look forward to connecting with anyone else attending who shares our disease, so we can commiserate and share memories of better times.

I'm a little surprised GW couldn't schedule another game or 2 while out West to play Fullerton. To spend that kind of money to go there for 1 game against a low D-1 program makes no sense. USC or UCLA would "pay" for a game against us right now. There's also other teams like SDSU, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine in the SoCal area.
I'm hoping JC can start to turn this ship in the right direction so we can get away from this terrible scheduling. Our schedule has absolutely sucked these past several years. My law firm has an international presence so I used to love scheduling "work" trips around GW games. I have no desire to fly out to LA to watch us play Fullerton - unless it's for a baseball game (they have a great history in baseball, not basketball).

Joel, they did schedule another game out West. Stay tuned.

Rising, that makes more sense. Hopefully it will be against USC or UCLA - both very good teams who will be in the national rankings but who have a history of occasionally slipping against lower level teams early in the season. Even San Diego State would be great - maybe they want a rematch after losing their last one against us in the NIT!

Rising mentioned a game against a WCC program. Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount are in the LA area if JC wants to stay in the same area. U San Diego isn’t too far away either and there’s four programs in the Bay Area as well that could be driven to (a big drive but doable). Portland, Gonzaga, and BYU are all flights so I doubt it would be them.

My guess: San Diego.

We play in the tournament in Naples on the 11/22, 23 and 24. The other game in CA is San Diego. We really wanted to play South Carolina at home but they pushed the game back again. Notre Dame backed out of a game at the Smith Center after they saw who transferred into GW.

haven’t seen anything about where but I am confident this will be on a website that charges you an extraordinary amount to watch

8 schools, 6 with State in their name, and only 1 of these belonging to an actual state. And they used to be SW Missouri State. Were Central Connecticut State and Chicago State too busy to play in this?
That said, we would be the 8 seed if based on last year's NET rankings, so there's that.

.
And the other two schools named after ex-presidents, Good thing Lincoln does not play DI and that Cornelius Vanderbilt never occupied the White House, or the Colonials might not have gotten in to this event!

Quite impressively an unimpressive tournament.
Not that we've been any good at all,but this is the best we can do?
This would hurt even CBI seeding.
