Taking off my homer goggles, Erik Reynolds of St Joe’s has been the best freshman PG and if there’s only one PG on the all-rookie team he’ll be on it. Malachi Smith is probably another who would get more votes than Freeman.
With that said, Brayon has been a breath of fresh air and exactly what this team needed to turn around the early season train wreck.

Wow, long time. Would've guessed TNJr or Garino but had a feeling it had been that long.

Didn't Jamison make it two seasons ago?

You are right. I was looking in the most recent A10 media guide, which was put out before the 19-20 season. I don’t know why they haven’t put one out the last two seasons. But Battle was on the all rookie team at the end of that year.

As bad of a Coach that Kuester was, he definitely recruited some talent

Great find, interesting list
from 92-99 GW had 8 players on the all rookie team including 3 different ROYs
post 2007, we've had only 2 players in 15 years make an all rookie team.

Suprisingly, none from the ML years

All Rookie Team by Coach:
Jarvis 6
Hobbs 6
Penders 3
ML 0
Mojo 1
In 2007 we had 13 All Rookie players in the prior 14 seasons and 8 NCAA Trips. 4 for Jarvis 1 for Penders and 3 for Hobbs
Since 2007 we've had 2 All Rookie players and 1 NCAA trip in 15 years.

And yet, three NBA players from ML recruits.

No A10 first teamers under Lonergan either, although he did have 3 second teamers, 2 of them in his last year. Also Yuta won Defensive POY after Lonergan left, and Kevin Larsen won Most Improved one year under him.

Another thing that jumps out, 5 of the first 20 ROYs
0 of the next 20.

Great point. He certainly brought the best out of the players that could deal with his issues.

Brayon concludes the A10 Slate with the following league stats:
12 pts 4 assists 3 boards 1 steal and a 43.6% from 3
Enough to make the All Rookie Team??

It’s hard for me to see him not making all league, unless they let transfer newcomers or second year freshmen. But among freshmen, Holmes and smith from Dayton are locks. Erik Reynolds and Brayon feel pretty safe. Kobe Brea probably should be on it, though at 8ppg he could get snubbed.
The only other serious contender I can think of is Amir Spears from Duquesne, who is averaging 12ppg so if voters just look at scoring leaders, he’ll make it.
As a side note, the Big 12 did separate categories for all-rookie and All-newcomer, with all-newcomer basically being transfers (Isaiah Brockington, who played for the Bonnies and Penn St won it).
If they have all-newcomer, I would think JoeBam is a shoe in for the team, though Foster Loyer probably wins newcomer of the year.

DaRon Holmes for A10 Rookie of The Year??
Holmes was #38 in the 2021 top 100 RSCI (Recruiting Services Consensus Index) the highest A10 player I can recall and has looked very much the part in his first year.
Freeman is the highest ranked player from those sites in GW history and also very much looked the part in his first year JoeBam was #74 in 2020
Ira Lee was #60 in 2018

It's all about developing talent. A great coach once said it's not how good they are when they come to me but how good they are when they leave.
The SUCK continues into year 7 of the post Knapp/Maltzman/Nero era!
Raise High! or just high enough to avoid the Tue night play-in games for 11-14
