George Washington III (@3dubbshoop) is now being recruited by Kansas, per source. Also, he has unofficial visits set up with Louisville, Auburn, and Ohio State in June already. @CenturionsMBB. @AaronHill502.
Committed to Ohio State

Is it just me, or is GW having a bad spell with getting and keeping legacies? Hope he thrives in Columbus.

To clarify, Kwame Jr. is currently uncommitted. Even though it doesn't seem likely he comes here, if we make his final list of schools that could give us some buzz which would always help.
GW0509's post was referring to George Washington III, who committed to Ohio State last week. I don't believe we ever offered him and he never ended up taking a visit here.

ohhh, my mistake sorry for any confusion between KJ and GWIII.

Good point on our legacies for the men's team, especially one in recent years. But will focus on an unlikely, but still possible outcome.
Would it not be great to dream of having the Kwame Evans name announced for scoring for GW in the Smith Center, with his father in the stands?

Women´s team, too. Bill Brigham´s daughter transferred out after last season...

Rizzotti was fired and a number of players apparently disappointed by that decision, including Brigham, left GW. Hard to see that as a legacy retention issue. Of course, Taylor Webster transferred in to GW so the women changed 1 legacy for another. Kwame Jr. was so far out of our reach as to have been no more than a wishful thinking on a cold lonely night. Your parent went to GW so you’re not going to choose Harvard or Yale? Your parent played basketball at GW so you’re not going to go to Kentucky or Kansas? This is still planet Earth. George Washington III, on the other hand, would have been cool regardless of whether he or GW were good enough. Not many players get to have their names on the front AND the back of their uniform.

Sadly did not make his top 5: Indiana, Auburn, Oregon, Kentucky, UCLA

Kwame Evans to Oregon.
We always knew it was a long shot, but a Hippo losing out to a Duck?

Oregon: What do they know about the Kwame Evans name?

Duck happens to be in the Land of the N(ike)LI

I happen to have it on good authority that Kwame Jr. was all set to come to GW up until the day when it was announced that the Colonials name would be changing. (It's a joke. Not to be taken literally. I get that most of you already know that.)

Playing in the McDonald's AA game right now. Made a nice play and the announcers mentioned his father/GW and talked about that for a second or two. Always nice to hear a GW mention

Just to add to MG 14's post: announcers made a big deal that Kwame's dad is a member of the GW Athletics Hall of Fame.
