SLU plays at Auburn today ESPN2, 4PM Auburn is ranked 12th in the nation in polls and #14 in KenPom.
SLU is 8-1, this would give them the kind of resume boosting OOC victory that could put them on the map come selection time.

Delaware is now playing #21 Villanova in Orlando on ESPN2(before STL-Auburn), Villanova only leads by 5 with about 14 minutes left
Morgan State is now playing at La Salle on ESPN+
Drake at #14 Dayton 7 on ESPN+ - What type of seed can Dayton get in the NCAA tournament if they 17-1 or 16-2 in the A10?? A 2 or 3 seed?

G'town TOOK it to Cuse, in their old rivalry game, Patrick Ewing has somehow got his team to weather the storm and really rolling on the court.
Yurtseven has become a great big.

Look at these quotes from Jim Boeheim on Patrick Ewing and Georgetown/James Akinjo after the game:
"I think he's a very good coach, and I think he's got seven guys as good as anybody. Two guys really weren't contributing at all, and another guy was just throwing the ball up all the time. I know Patrick can't say that, but I can."
"the other guy was throwing the ball up all the time. He lost two games by himself. Patrick can't say that but I can." "They way they were playing earlier in the year, we would have won.
Those are the accounts from 2 reporters who were at Boeheim's post game press conference. I'm trying to find the actual audio or video of it. Jim Boeheim didn't hold his tongue when it came to Akinjo. I don't think Boeheim should have said that because it's possible that he could play against Akinjo again in the future.
Yurtseven transferred to Georgetown from NC State, I believe he was a double-digit scorer during his sophomore year at NC State, but he still transferred to Georgetown because he wanted to learn how to be an elite center from Ewing. Yurt does have a strong inside and outside game, but WAS a little soft before the 4 guys transferred out

Might be unpopular to say, but I'm happy for Patrick. He's always been a good person, so I wouldn't mind if he had a nice career coaching them. I hope it doesn't turn out that he had any part in a cover-up for the players accused in the court filings. I'm not surprised about Boeheim's comments, he's not exactly been a model citizen.

Maybe Boeheim should focus on his own team instead of others. Probably a bold take, but Syracuse has been pretty lousy for the past few years. Their zone defense has been the saving grace, but it is not quite as elite this year, and this might be their least talented team in a long time. There have been problems on offense for quite some time now. Maybe he has some insider connections with the committee and they will help get the Orange back on the bubble yet again. I guess they don't have any "bad" losses yet, so maybe that will still happen. They just don't pass the "eye test", at least for me. Boeheim is a legend, but I think some fresh blood might be what the program needs. Just like UConn when they left the Big East (although they are returning next year), Syracuse just hasn't found its footing moving to the ACC. These are football decisions, but I can't help but think it has hurt their basketball programs.
Pretty neutral on Ewing/Georgetown. While I do think Boeheim should have kept his comments to himself instead of addressing the media, I can't say I necessarily disagree with him on Akinjo though. The guy seems to be all things considered a decent guy off the court, but from watching Georgetown earlier in the year he seemed to be a bit of a ball hog on the court, and many possessions for the Hoyas were stagnant and in isolation. He could be better in a complementary role in a place like Arizona alongside Mannion.
The number of dismissals under Ewing's tenure does deserve some attention though. Between the situation that unfolded this season, and Sodom's actions that caused him to be dismissed in a previous year, it's not a good look to have so many off the court incidents, whether it's his fault or not. Taking a guy like Alexander who was already previously dismissed from LSU carried risk to begin with, although I do believe in second chances. Not going to speculate on the situation deeper without more information, and anyways this is the "other games thread".
Georgetown probably still has enough talent to win some games in the Big East, but McClung will need to stay hot shooting the ball. The Big East has kinda been disappointing to begin the year - Villanova, Marquette, and Xavier have been good, but not anywhere close to the top tier of teams in the country. Butler has been a big surprise, and DePaul has made some noise, but St. John's was always going to be in a rebuilding year, Providence has played like the worst team in the league, and Creighton has been meh. Seton Hall seemed like one of the better teams, but then got blown out today in the Garden State duel against Rutgers (who are improving, but still are a work in progress). The race will be fun to watch, as almost all the teams seem to be equally matched, and Villanova isn't as dominating as they have been in recent years.
In other action, Dayton casually beat a solid Drake team by 31 (they weren't even on their A game which is scary). Without a doubt a top 10 team nationally and I'm not looking forward to facing them.
Niagara blew an 11 point road halftime lead against Albany. It was always going to be a rebuilding job for Paulus, so will take some time. Nice to see Shandon shoot slightly better from the field, but he put up a full stat line of zeroes with four fouls which is unfortunate.
Liberty beat Vanderbilt 61-56 to remain undefeated.
Cincy fans can't be happy about losing at the end to Colgate 67-66, though the Raiders are probably the best team in the Patriot.
New Mexico beat NMSU in the Land of Enchantment battle 69-62. Local DC product Trevelin Queen put up 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists in a losing effort for the Aggies. I wouldn't be surprised if he played his way into the second round of next year's NBA draft.
Evansville beat Green Bay by 10 on the road, but UMKC lost by 41 to a probably soon to be number 1 Kansas team (although Ohio State should be at the top in my opinion - Holtmann has done a fantastic job there).
Auburn continued to win against A10 opponents, edging SLU by 6.
Delaware only lost to Villanova by 8. As mentioned, this isn't one of the stronger Wildcat teams, but it's nice to know we had a better effort defensively against the Blue Hens and Darling.
Wake Forest beat Xavier by 2. Manning is doing whatever he can to keep his job, but Wake could have done better with another coach this season itself.
Appalachian State beat Howard on the road by 22, while BU almost squandered another lead against Dartmouth but held on, 78-76. La Salle defeated Morgan State by 17.
Penn State beat a meh Alabama team to move to 9-2. I'm not a Chambers believer at all, but it seems like he's finally found enough talent to carry the Nittany Lions to the NCAA tournament. Their resume definitely looks strong enough this year.
Duquesne, Richmond, and St. Bonaventure also won their games today. Duquesne with another impressive performance against a decent team in Radford. Richmond held on against a solid Charleston team. St. Bonaventure should not be playing a non D1 game during OOC play, but better to win against a D2 team than drop in KenPom rating, losing or winning close against a bottom D1 school.
Going to conclude with Grambling State playing some team called Rust. I don't think Rust is any good, but they definitely don't stink as bad as Ammonia.

A10 went 6-2 this weekend. Not bad. St.Louis lost to #12 Auburn in a close game, and Fordham lost by five points to their opponent.
