WBB - How Recent Transfers are Doing

So how are our recent transfers doing (or did) at their new schools?

2021-2022 Transfers

Sophie Haydon (South Dakota/Summit): Haydon is playing 10 minutes per game. She is averaging 1.7 ppg and 2.7 rpg. South Dakota is 4-3.
Maddie Loder (Stonehill/NEC): Loder is starting and having a pretty good year. Averaging 8.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, and 1.9 apg. Stonehill is 1-6.
Michele Ojo (Delaware/CAA): Ojo is coming off the bench and has some good numbers. She averages 7 ppg, 4.3 rpg, and 1.2 blks per game. Delaware is 4-2.
Leila Patel (Texas Woman’s University/D-II): Patel is on the roster, but has not played this year (injury?).  TWU is 6-1 and ranked nationally in D-II.

2020-2021 Transfers

Ali Brigham (Penn State/Big Ten): Brigham is posting modest numbers coming off the bench. She averages 4.3 ppg and 3.1 rpg in 10.3 minutes per game. PSU is 7-0.
Neila Luma (UCF/AAC): Luma graduated after the 21-22 season. In her year at UCF, she averaged 1.6 ppg and 1.3 rpg in 6.9 minutes of play per game. UCF went to the NCAAs (where they lost to UConn in Round 2).
Gabbie Nikitinaite (SIU-Edwardsville/OVC): Nikitinaite graduated after 21-22 season. As a starter, she averaged 14.2 ppg (led team), 4.9 rpg and 2.8 apg. The Cougars finished that season 13-18.
Caranda Perea (Temple/AAC): Perea is a key sub for the Owls, playing 15.5 minutes per game. She averages 4.2 ppg and 2.5 rpg. Temple is 2-4.

2019-2020 Transfers:

Tori Hyduke (Drexel/CAA): Hyduke is a seldom used sub for the Dragons. She is averaging 1.5 ppg and .8 apg in just 4.8 minutes per game. Drexel is 4-1.
Kayla Mokwuah (Arizona State/Pac12): Mokwuah starts for this P5 squad. She is averaging 6.8 ppg , 5.5 rpg and is shooting 48.6% from the field. The Sun Devils are 4-1.

Our transfers show mixed results. Surprising that the top recruits from two of our classes (Brigham and Hyduke) have their playing time reduced significantly, especially Brigham. Mokwuah persevered and after two so-so seasons in the Big12 (TCU), seems to have found her footing at ASU and the PAC 12. Finally, you have to be really happy for Loder, who was a great teammate, stayed, graduated, and is now getting ample PT at her new school.
