Those look pretty spot on.   The actual awards are announced right before the A10 Tourney I believe?

Lot of Hardware for GW.   If there was such a thing as Most Improved Team I'd put Hunter Dean too

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

I like Ricky for Glue Guy, too.
And just for us, Amir is Defensive player of the year.
But without renewing one award debate, these names above, nicely shared by 0509, seem to be fairly
on target.
Never know how the actual league vote is going to turn out--and there have been some surprises over the years, from a big drop in teams to even an exclusion.
But this is a fairly good mix and treats us pretty well, which says good things about us and CC's first year.

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

JB - 1st team all conference, BA- 3rd team all conference + MIP,  MAX - A10 rookie of the year

Really happy for our guys, shoutout to the coaching staff for helping them make these big leaps.

Can't say I agree with Ace Baldwin as POTY though.

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

Agree with gwfan25. Proud of those three guys and hard to argue with their places on any of those teams. Also agree that Ace Baldwin for POTY is slightly puzzling. He had a great year, no doubt, but I would have probably put him 3rd on my list.

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

Definitely hard to swallow the guy who just went 0-9 from the field against us on Saturday being A10 player of the year.  Guess it was just a best player on best team award this year.

Really thought it would be Holmes or JBIV.

Still, proud to have the Rookie of the year, most improved player, 1st teamer, and 3rd teamer.

Nice to get some recognition for the year they’ve had.

Agree, and also think that JB got robbed!  In any case, this season and these awards are a reflection on the players and coaching staff....the future is bright.

Too bad we don't see the scoring of votes or number of votes.

Great to see GW so well represented when it comes to end of season awards.  It's been too long.  Congrats to James, Brendan (x2), and Max.  I hope James comes back next season, wins POY and is drafted into the NBA.  Also, congrats to Coach Caputo and his staff for a great first season.  I think Coach of the Year is in his future.

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

Pretty stunned to see Baldwin take POY ahead of Holmes.  Looks like the POY consideration was more than a two player race, let alone a one player race.  Looks like the consolation to Dayton was to make sure that Camara joined Holmes on the first team.  Agree with FQ that voterrs took the easy way out.  Rather than decide on who really was the best player, it was simply easier to select the best player on the best team.  Have to believe that's clearly what happened here.

Congratulations to James, Brendan and Max on their respective awards/designations.  Would love to see Coach of the Year voting to see if CC received any votes/where he finished.

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

Without Urgo, CC is COY.
JBIV for Player of the Year ... naturally. Holmes's numbers are pedestrian and Dayton underperformed expectations including a preseason national ranking. Baldwin they must be mistaking for Bones Hyland. "Just pick whoever is playing PG for VCU, if he's fast and has a cool nickname."
Finally, for the love of god, pick 5 players per team, like it is between the lines, not 6, which is a cop-out meant to give everyone a trophy and let the voters off the hook.

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

Great to see the individual seasons of so many GW guys honored.

Concur clearly about Ace Baldwin over JBIV.

Has GW ever had a season with so much hardware handed out?

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

Well, a lot of electrons here have been saved by finally getting the announcement.
Brendan (also All-Academic!) and Max richly deserve their honors.
Sure didn't see the Player of the Year playing that way on Saturday. Agree that it's just the best player on
the best team. Think Davidson saw the Player of the Year in our win last week.
James could also be on the list for Most Improved because of the maturity he has shown toward developing his team game.
CC deserves plaudits for his work in getting us in what seems to be a real positive direction without his players (except for Max). Have we had two top honorees and a first-teamer in recent years? Doesn't feel it, if we did.
CC has a lot of heavy lifting for the next season and the future, but appears as of now, to be a refreshing sign of hope.

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

Guess that means JBIV has to come back next year to win conference player of the year. A fan can dream, right?

Re: The A10 Conference Awards

I agree Bishop deserves POY but seeing it go to the best player on the best team isn't much of a shock
