Does anyone have any insights into the 2023-24 Out of Conference Schedule?
1) I assume there will be another unbalanced 18 game A-10 schedule
2) Were any of last years OOC games part of Home and Away contracted games?
3) 4 home games vs HBCUs - I assume they were all buy games?
4) I expect American at home and Howard at home
5) Holiday Tournament is set
Gulf Coast Showcase
Monday–Wednesday, November 20–22: Estero, Fla.

There are also 2 exhibition /scrimmages that will be played.
Does anyone know Coach Caputo's preferences for public exhibition games vs private scrimmages?

It is.
Apparently our holiday tournament changed and we are now playing in the Baha Mar Tournament (the same one we played in 2019 in that hotel ballroom). Men's Basketball to Compete in 2023 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship - George Washington University Athletics (gwsports.com)
The 2023 Nassau Championship field will include the following teams:
Brown
Delaware
George Washington
Illinois-Chicago
Kansas City
Middle Tennessee
Ohio U.
1 TBA

Didn´t UMKC and MTSU also go to that the last time GW did? Hopefully the tourney will not dig too deeply in to the hotel´s wedding business this time. The carbon footprint of this event may get some attention, especially since it takes place in a locale susceptible to rising sea levels.

Beats the middle school gym/cafeteria tournament, but not by too much.

Middle Tennessee the marquee opponent here with a 22-23 KenPom ranking of 116.

Stonehill will open their 2023-24 men's basketball season at George Washington, home of the newly named Revolutionaries, as part of their non-conference schedule, per source. First-ever meeting between the two schools. Stonehill begins year 2 of their 4-yr D1 transition. #NECMBB

On the road against Dayton, VCU and SLU is a tough draw

Similarly easy schedule to last year. I think we win at least one of the away games against Dayton/VCU/SLU too

And St Joe expected to be near the top of the league next year. Definitely a tough slate to play those 4 only on the road. Then again, if you assume the top teams would probably beat us at home anyway, maybe it’s better to only play them on the road.

With all the changes in the conference personnel, I am not conceding anything or taking anything for granted at this point.

Hosting Maryland Eastern Shore on December 30th. UMES is receiving $65k for the pleasure.

With the cupcakes Stonehill, New Hampshire and now UMES, we should be 8-0 for the home OOC this year.
I wonder why we can't get folks interested into coming and seeing us play?

Is them losing included in the price?
There's been some odd upsets of us in recent years.
